Hotels Near Alfanzina Lighthouse in Carvoeiro

An excellent location for a hotel, and now fully refurbished to a very nice 4 star hotel. We stayed here before the refurbishment, but now it has been done the hotel is so much more modern and ideal for visiting Carvoeiro. We stayed in a fantastic sea view room at the front, which was perfect for sitting on the balcony, having a drink, reading or a book or playing cards together. The restaurant was closed when we were there, so we were given breakfast vouchers to use at Jan or central. Both of these restaurants offered great breakfasts that were better than the buffet you used to get at the hotel! The addition of the rooftop bar is incredible, fantastic views, nice cocktails and great staff too. This hotel has always been perfectly located, but not it has been properly upgraded it is the ideal hotel in Carvoeiro!

The room is large and quiet but the boxes are old and dirty gardens with locked parts. The balcony is large but dirty and needs a update in the painting. The bathroom is good but with strong smell from the rack. The room is large and it would be good to have a supplement waste because it only has in the bathroom and in the kitchen. The mini kitchen has a good fridge but the boxes and pia are very old, with a strong smell. I missed detergent and bubble in the kitchen. The room level would justify having a Nespresso, it would be very good. The good point are towels of excellent quality in both the room and the pool. The area of the pool is beautiful, well-cared garden and top chairs to sleep. The bar is interesting, but I didn't use it because I found the prices a little cheap. We have dinner one day at the hotel, I don't recommend it, it's buffet service and the food wasn't good, it was expensive.

The tastefully appointed interiors, plush bedding, and thoughtful amenities contributed to a restful atmosphere that allowed us to get a restorative night's sleep. We woke up each morning feeling refreshed and ready to embrace the day ahead. What truly set this hotel apart was its dedication to catering to families. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every member of the family felt welcome and comfortable. From engaging activities for children to family-friendly dining options, every aspect of our stay was tailored to our needs. The hotel even offered serene spaces for parents to relax while keeping an eye on their little ones, striking the perfect balance between tranquility and family-friendly amenities. Furthermore, the attentive and friendly staff added to the overall sense of relaxation. They were always on hand to offer assistance or provide recommendations, and their warm and genuine hospitality made us feel like valued guests. Beyond the hotel itself, the surrounding area offered plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities and exploration. We took advantage of the hotel's proximity to nature, embarking on leisurely walks and hikes that allowed us to connect with the peaceful surroundings. It was the ideal way to escape the hustle and bustle of the work world and reconnect with nature.

I would use one word to describe this hotel -Paradise. We came as guests and the staff treated us so well, we left as friends. We had our wedding at the Bricia Du Mar and it was prefect. The location for a wedding is what we dreamed of. The hotel is low rise and like a little village with beautiful rooms and a stunning pool area. There is a fantastic gym and spa also. What Raquel, Pedro and everyone else did to help us was above and beyond what you would expect from a hotel. They say they are not wedding planners but what they did to help us arrange our wedding was incredible. This a family run hotel and you can see the care and attention they have to make the hotel a success as it is quite new. Everything is spotlessly clean and such a calming wonderful environment. Our wedding went without a hitch and the attention to detail was incredible. All the staff at our wedding were genuinely happy to be there from the chefs to the bar staff and waiters who couldn’t do enough for us. I would love to give this place a poor review to put people off going so I could keep it for myself but that would be doing the staff a real disservice. I can't fault this place at all- the place was spotless inside and out and the rooms were well equipped with fridge ,safe and air conditioning and lovely hot showers. The breakfast had something for everyone and changed each day. The staff are the real star of the show though and nothing is too much trouble. We mentioned we were looking for worry beads and the next thing we knew one of the waitresses at breakfast went across the street and brought back a selection for us to choose from and purchase from the shop opposite. Special mention to Ioanna who was so friendly and up for a laugh she really made our holiday. Great Central location but quiet with a lovely small pool and pool area. Can't wait to come back!
