We had one overnight stay while traveling South. Hotel was easy to find with use of Google maps. Plenty on site parking. Efficient check-in. Room was compact, but comfortable. Nice hot shower. Towels were provided. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant, which felt a bit more like a pub with football on TV and a pool table. Not everything on the menu was available to order; although salmon and burger were lovely and plentiful. The waiter was very helpful. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, as we brought our own. Hotel popular with white van drivers.
Booked for an overnight stay when travelling back from Scotland.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great with lots of choice.
Room was clean and tidy with nice amenities.
Would definitely stay here again if in the area

The room was clean and hygienic. I found two socks left by previous guests in the room.
The location is good. There is a supermarket next to it, which is convenient. There is also free parking. Other things are generally OK.
The staff were very friendly, room & beds were clean but a little sp**** & needing some renovation. The breakfast was lovely, plentiful & made to order, choice of cereal, toast, cooked breakfast, tea & coffee. The only downside was the boom booming of the music from the bar going on to the early hours.

The first time I stayed in such a good hotel, because Edinburgh was not as fun as I imagined, so I stayed for a day and came to Carlisle. I didn’t expect to encounter such a home-like hotel. If you are a family of four coming to Europe unless you book two rooms, otherwise the room is small. You can’t imagine it. Here ~ to book a suite, like at home, the kitchen has everything! I went to buy ingredients that night to make it!

FFranfromivegillVery basic-looking hotel : reception is someone sitting at the bar with a laptop! Yet very friendly and does it’s job. Room seems very basic but has everything you need - bed nothing impressive to look at but very comfortable! No view but good vértice blind system. Shower fantastic - bathroom basic but spotlessly clean. I decided the thing that makes a hotel look “cheap” is the flooring! Breakfast offered bacon, sausages, eggs and even boiled eggs - also tinned fruit and yoghurt. Machine coffee. I was happy with my stay. Staff happily looked after my cases while I went into town; all very friendly. Nearby restaurants and cinema …. Station 5 minutes walk. Very convenient.
DD. See ¹⁵Carlisle… a small town that was unexpectedly created by a snowstorm. Although it is not as famous as York or Newcastle, it is definitely a leisure town worth visiting… In addition to the castle and a church destroyed by war, there is also a ”Great Wall”… The people here are particularly warm and friendly because it is not a tourist area… I love everything here!
GGuest UserStayed over at county hotel for graduation
It was great location very central only few minutes walk to cathedral & town centre shopping
The hotel was very clean
Staff very obliging & pleasant
Breakfast great too
Room perfect beds comfortable & clean would definitely recommend to others very reasonable price too
GGerald NansonThe hotel interior is looking rather tired, the corridors are stark and our room while spacious was unattractive. The bathroom was cramped and poorly designed. It was clean and tidy and the staff do the best they can with difficult facilities and surroundings.
