Hotels near Solway Aviation Museum in Carlisle

Just needed somewhere close to Carlisle Station. This was perfect. I wanted to leave my luggage while I went into town… normally I could but it was closing for Christmas. This sort of information should be available before. It has what I can only describe as a safe but ANTIQUE lift. Everything is old but safe and functional…. So very small town British. Staff were very helpful and breakfast was great.

Unser Zimmer war nach hinten gelegen und hatte ziemlich verrottete Fenster mit Einfachverglasung. Das Duschbad klein und eng. Die Möbel und sonstige Einrichtung alt, aber immerhin funktionsfähig. Der Aufzug funktionierte allerdings nicht, was vielen älteren Gästen unserer Reisegruppe Probleme bereitete. Auf dem Flur vor den Zimmern breiteten sich gerade die Maler aus.

Martin was very helpful and kind. We are here on business and when he heard of what kind of business he immediately was interested and wanted to help us. He gave us free water bottles which will be very helpful and some fruit for the journey. Would recommend

The staff were very friendly, room & beds were clean but a little sp**** & needing some renovation. The breakfast was lovely, plentiful & made to order, choice of cereal, toast, cooked breakfast, tea & coffee. The only downside was the boom booming of the music from the bar going on to the early hours.

After a long car journey it was wonderful to arrive at this elegant and welcoming hotel. The reception staff, Neil and Chelsea were friendly and very efficient. We had a delicious dinner and the bedrooms were very comfortable. Breakfast in the dining room was perfect thanks to the attentive care of Sue, a really lovely member of staff. We were only staying one night but would have loved to have stayed longer.
