Quaint hotel with a nice pool and bungalow type rooms that open up to the pool. The breakfast is quite good, fresh and tasty, nice coffee. Has a fitness room, that I used, some yoga mats and kettles would be appreciated. Extremely friendly waiter😊

Shocking hotel room 303. Manageress very unhelpful, didn't care much to move us to a standard room that wasn't dangerous!! Told us to move to another hotel. Hotel in need of repairs. Carlos saved the day for us as a nice man and wasted on this hotel.

I would not stay at this hotel again, staff are not friendly or helpful at all. We arrived around 1:00 in the morning 3 people staying in one room, checked in went to our room to find only one double bed for 2 people! So back to reception we went had to wait for the receptionist to bring a pull out bed! When this should have already been done for our arrival! Room was absolutely tiny for 3 people so we asked if we could move to a bigger room just got a straight NO! And that all the rooms are the same size (they are not) safe did not work had to wait all day for a maintenance man to come sort it which he didn’t come until evening so we had to have our passports money etc on us all day! plug socket was hanging off the wall DANGEROUS! Seemed to be what was like rust on the walls! Went for breakfast at the hotel on the first morning & it was awful! One of the staff randomly came over to me and rudely said you can’t take food out of the restaurant I looked at her confused as I was looking in my bag for my phone not putting food in there! But even if I wanted to do that I’d paid for the food! Some good points : rooms were clean and got fresh towels etc everyday, location was great close to the town & beach. But would not return to this hotel!

A lovely small peaceful hotel located a short walk from the restaurants and shops, 10 - 15 minutes to the nearest beach and a 20 minute stroll to the harbour, all the staff were lovely and friendly the breakfast had something for everyone from cooked food, fresh fruit, meats & cheese as well as hot and cold drinks, a small pool was adequate for the size of the hotel my wife and I had a really nice stay and would certainly book again if in Cala D’Or

Our experience staying at Hotel D'Or was quite a mixed bag. Upon checking-in, Carlos gave us a quick tour of the hotel and showed us our room (room 400 - skip to the end to find out why this became a huge issue). The room was acceptably clean, albeit not immaculate, it was also quite small (for 3 people) but was fairly functional. As others have noted, we did have ants in the room for the first couple of days, but Carlos did rectify that. The room came with few luxuries and most things were paid extras (such as a kettle, which Carlos kindly gave us for free in the aftermath of the ant-issue), although we did have a working safe to use. Our room wasn't particularly private, to access the room we had to cross the terraces of multiple other rooms (although something we had never experienced before, we did get used to it). We were also overlooked slightly by an adjacent building, but we weren't in the room much during the day, so it wasn't really an issue for us. The pool and bar area was relatively small but we found it ideal for us. We had our 4 year-old with us and he loved it. It was never particularly over-crowded and it had a great vibe throughout most of the day. It's worth noting that there will likely be non-residents also enjoying the pool area, but we found no issue with this, and actually felt it enhanced the overall atmosphere. Carlos makes great cocktails and we'd recommend his sangria! To try and add some efficiency to our mornings, we paid for the breakfast option and found it to be fine. It was probably what we would have expected, with just enough to please everyone. The occasional smoked salmon was a particular highlight.   We found the staff to be mostly pleasant, we always enjoyed chatting to Carlos, Juan was very helpful, and the dark haired girl with glasses (apologies, we didn't manage to note her name) was always polite. Juan and his wife also performed some music on one of the nights, they were very good and we thoroughly enjoyed it! As the hotel is so small, there is only limited staff support throughout the night, so any issues should be raised during normal hours, where possible. The location of the hotel is both good and POTENTIALLY bad. We found it was perfect for the majority of activities with our 4 year-old, such as walking to the beach, exploring the marina, or heading out for food on an evening (as he'd sometimes burn-out and require carrying back to the hotel). Now, you can't have all of these positives without some negatives. Sadly, we had a huge issue throughout our stay, and the hotel just couldn't comprehend how to fix it for us. As mentioned above, we were allocated room 400. The problem with room 400 is that it's the closest room to the square, and practically opposite a nightclub. This may have been tolerable in normal circumstances, but we also had a local fiesta to contend with, which was primarily located at said-square. With the fiesta came temporary toilets / urinals, which were located on th

We stayed four nights in late July. Family of three. Hotel is approx 100 metres from the main strip and beach and harbour about a 5 minute walk. The pool/sun terrace area: This was lovely, with open bar area that looks directly onto pool. Pool was clean and the toilets/shower area next to it were spotless. Sunbeds were plentiful, my only gripe was that there were not enough parasols in the sunbed area. Bar was not overpriced and they had a happy hour 4.30 - 5.30 every day. Carlos made a great Mojito also. The room: our room was clean, and cleaner called and made up room every day. Shower was a large walk-in on ground level and bathroom also really clean and well sized. The room was a bit small, we just about fitted the three of us in there, my 11 year old was on a pullout bed. I found the beds quite hard. We stayed bed and breakfast and there was a good selection of fresh tasty food on the buffet. This ranged from bacon and egg to continental food and savouries. Overall: a good value hotel, ideally located with friendly staff.

Stayed here with my partner for 5 nights, on arrival the reception area was lovely decorated and tidy, we was met by a friendly man who seen to us straight away, due to being on an early flight we was unsure if we would be able to check in, luckily we was and was shown to our room, the rooms are clean and tidy and got everything you need to a safe deposit box , lots of wardrobe space and even a hair dryer. The pool area was also very nice and bar area that over looks pool, they even have happy hour and serves food, although we was out most of the time seeing the beautiful area of Cala D’or with its endless beach coves and amazing restaurants, we had the best time here and the hotel offered just what we needed. When returning back to Cala D'or we will definitely be booking this hotel again

This was my first solo trip. At first it was lovely the staff were great and then a few hours later I came back, there was ants crawling in the bath, around the bath, some on the floor and on the walls it was disgusting. I complained to the manager and she just said there was no rooms available after I'd asked to move, because of course it wasn't clean to me. All she could do was bring me up a insect plug. Then I asked well can someone come and clean this because there's dead ants in the bath. She goes I can see, but we don't have cleaners scheduled for this time (it was in the evening) So she proceeds to grab the ants on the wall and the side of the bath with tissue. Then has the audacity to say "They are not dangerous". I said I know they aren't dangerous, but it's not very nice and I've got to have a shower in here. Then she rinsed the bath out with water and that's it. I went down later on and asked for some cleaning stuff, because it needed cleaning there's no way I was going to have a shower in there after what had been in there. She had the nerve to say to me "What kinda cleaning products do you want? It's clean". I was shocked. Of course to her it doesn't matter because she's not using the bathroom. It was very bad customer service from the MANAGER. She never arranged a new room for me and I had to stay in the room the whole time I was there, but luckily only had to deal with the ants 2/3 days. Avoid room 110. It seems like it only affected my room, no one elses... So yeah avoid room 110. There was one gentleman there who was lovely, checked me in and made me feel very welcome. He explained where to have my breakfast and where to go for my dinner as I had Half board. He showed me on the map, how to get to a certain part for an excursion I had planned which was the glass boat tour in Cala Gran. Overall the holiday was amazing, the beaches which were about 10mins walk were beautiful, there was also a variety of excursions to do like the glass boat tour where I saw dolphins which was great. It was just that bathroom situation and how it was handled by the manager that put a bit of a downer on the trip. I had to stay in the room and use my OWN insect spray to kill them, which worked and killed the ants thank god. So yeah on that note, I won't be returning to this specific hotel

The hotel is clean, quiet and has a pool. Carlos, one of the staff, was super efficient and friendly. All the staff worked extremely hard and were very helpful. Clean towels every day and beds made. My only criticism was the bar snacks which were really horrible. The area has unfortunately been ruined by tourism and the local beaches were jam packed with no room to relax. Such a shame. I can’t fault the hotel but hated the surrounding tourist ‘strip’.

I really enjoyed my stay here and overall it was much better than my expectations. My room was a bit dated but clean. The cleaners were amazing changing the bed linen and towels whilst i was there. I loved the bar overlooking the pool which looked even nicer late at night. I had to pay an extra 12 euros for the use of a kettle which i was ok with. I would have loved a fridge which i think should be standard these days. I didn't realise you could hire one but the previous reviewer said this was an extra charge of 50 euros. A bit steep in my opinion and i wouldn't have paid that in any case. Breakfast at almost 10 euros is not worth it when there are plenty of places doing better for much less. Spar supermarket over the road was very handy if you needed anything. Guests whilst i was there were all respectful and i never encountered any noise after 12.30am. Music in the bar always stopped at midnight. I would return but in future i'll only be going to a self catering apartment that has a kettle ( an absolute must for brits) and a fridge.

Just had a week here and location and great for the harbour or town. A 2/3 star at best our room was tiny, safe didn’t work wasn’t repaired all week, draw fell apart wasn’t repaired and phone didn’t work. No fridge or kettle wanted 50 e for a fridge. No where to get a cup of tea in morning unless you bought breakfast which was poor for the price. Pool area was nice but most of staff were unhelpful accept the night time bar man who actually spoke.
