Comfortable bed and linens. Amazing breakfast. Staff was lovely and helpful. Easy to get a taxi. Dinner in the main dining room was excellent. Cocktail combinations were unique and delicious. I would have enjoyed taking a bath but my room only had a shower.

This is a great hotel for being a tourist in Cagliari. Busy enough to be buzzy; but quiet enough for the staff to be helpful and friendly. It's located down on the waterfront so most of Cagliari is within walking distance. We had a bay view room - marina view really - which was large and airy and had a very comfortable bed. We ate in the hotel restaurant the first night and it was probably the best meal we had. The great plus are the helpful friendly efficient staff.

We went to Palazzo Tirso M Gallery twice in November. Once to see what a wonderful hotel this is and because the restaurant was not open on the night we were there we went back to try the main restaurant’Terra’ which has a menu by a 2 Michelin Stars chef. This is a beautifully converted palazzo right on the port in downtown Cagliari. The luxury begins at reception where we were advised and helped by Claudia, charming, experienced warm and friendly we were shown and took an amazing suite with floor to ceiling views of the port and the biggest, softest most comfortable bed that I’ve ever slept in. The ‘Terra’ restaurant was a wonderful experience, we shared a tasting menu the food was beautiful and the flavours were exceptional the price of the whole meal for two of us was only €125, we don’t drink alcohol so that may have kept the price low but even so it was amazing value. Breakfast was also marked by choices of honey, good brands of yogurt fresh fruit as well as fried eggs and bacon. Everything about our stay was five star we loved every minute of it. The hotel is beautifully decorated and very clean. We didn’t have a great night sleep due to the aircon in the room not being very powerful, so it didn’t really cool down the room.

This property was really beautiful! Just renovated, has lots of digital technology, smells amazing, beautifully decorated. Only downside is that the location is on a busy street, not much ambiance. In addition, despite staying at the hotel, chairs at the beach cost the guest. Parking is an additional 20 euro per night.

Nice hotel but found reception staff to be unhelpful, dismissive and quite rude. Had a issue with with one of our rooms TVs, got told it’s a hotel wide issue, except it worked fine in our other room. Didn’t do anything to resolve it so was unusable the whole stay.

The Palazzo Tirso Hotel was an amazing experience. The Staff was A , the food was delicious, and my suite was elegant. Demetrio and Giavani, the night concierge when I arrived were the best and made sure we had everything we needed. Loved the hotel breakfast.

This is an excellent hotel, but could be even better with a couple of minor changes. PROs: The buffet breakfast is fantastic, with a huge range of hot and cold selections and ample places to sit. Freshly cooked eggs are great, although the scrambled eggs are not as good as the omelettes. The detox waters are also a huge plus. Unfortunately, the coffee is not particularly good and one would have expected more from an Italian hotel (see below). The rooms are beautiful and modern, with wonderful showers. Everything feels fresh and new. Air-conditioning was great - kept the room very cool and ran quietly. The L'Occitane toiletries are a lovely touch. The location is excellent, although be aware that Via Roma is currently being dug up and this makes it a bit awkward to locate the relevant bus stops for getting around. The pool is very nice, although a touch small. Staff should ensure that the same people do not monopolise the pool beds by leaving their towels there all day. The staff at the rooftop bar are fantastic and can accomodate almost any request. CONs: The rooftop restaurant, Cielo, boasts a beautiful view and lovely staff but the food is lacking. I had much better pasta at the cheaper trattorias around Via Cavour. The dessert was very good, however. The housekeeping was not very good. Maids came at random times, so that you never knew whether your room was going to be serviced at 10 am or 5 pm. On more than one occasion, dirty glasses were left in the room and not collected. There needs to be a bit more training in that respect. Charging people to use the sauna / steam and indoor pool unless you pay for a trea**ent seems excessive from what purports to be a five star hotel. At most, charge people perhaps a flat fee of say, 50 euros per stay and let them have unlimited use of these facilities. When I went for a trea**ent that area was completely empty and I do not think it is fair to force people to pay additional money for what most five star hotels include as of course. Some of the staff were a bit strange. Being asked how I slept every morning by a breakfast waiter was... odd.
