Best Hotels in Cagliari, Italy

In general the hotel is fine, the beds somewhat douche, the worst thing is that the air conditioning is centralized and cannot be turned off, it was quite strong and hit us directly on the bed, they would have to have the possibility of being able to close the door of the / c. The staff was friendly at all times.

The first day of the May 1st, as a step for a tour in the south-east of Sardinia, was a quality choice. Excellent in all aspects: from the comfortable reception to the cleaning of the large rooms, from the excellent breakfast to the customer care in the gentlemen's restaurant. In the queue thanks to the staff for help and assistance offered, in the phase of return, causes my car failure

This is a unique boutique hotel experience. The concept is a great one for artist lovers and those who crave something distinctive while across from the Port in Cagliari. Our room was stunningly decorated and a treat to come to. HOWEVER, it was unbearably small. I would recommend that you consider the largest room available. We had little room for our luggage and had to climb over things to get to the other side of the room. We are small statured people and it was still a struggle. The hotel is green conscious. Had great food, and the best coffee on the island. If you require dependable WiFi and internet, DO NOT STAY HERE. The connection dropped throughout our 5 day stay and on our last evening, the power went out for the entire evening, over a 12 hour period. For about 5 hours, the power came on and off, but kept kicking off. We were never provided with an explanation for it, just that our side of the building was affected and that they were looking into the situation. At 12 midnight, I demanded an explanation, and the staff person basically said that they were told the matter would be fixed by the city centre by 9PM BUT by midnight there was nothing that could be done according to the staff. By 9PM there was NO POWER to us until approximately 7AM and nothing was offered to us to make up for the situation. I asked for a refund for the evening but the working staff refused to accommodate us, they had no authority to follow through with anything. We had prepaid through our travel agent, who now tells us that we needed to deal with the hotel directly. Our time on Sardinia was a lovely dream come true, HOWEVER, this last night has left a real sour experience to our holiday.

The rooms were clean and spacious enough for two people. We really liked the location as it was central and close to everything, including the bus station. The bathroom was well equipped and even had a bidet. The staff was very helpful and they always tried their best to answer any questions we had. They even helped find contact numbers for parks we wanted to visit, and explained where to go. Breakfast was quite nice and had a nice selection of different foods and desserts every morning. The room seemed to always be warm, sometimes a little too warm. The only way to cool it down was through a window, though cooking smells from the restaurant next door would waft in. We would have liked it better if we had control over the air-conditioning in the room. We would have liked to have a kettle in the room for tea, but it wasn't a big issue since the hotel is surrounded by great cafés. We also ate dinner at the hotel, and though the food was delicious, it was a little pricey compared to the many restaurants in the vicinity. You might want to explore the area for more selection and possibly better prices for food. Overall, we had a lovely time and we look forward to visiting again. It was great value for our money, and it's a good place to stay if you want quick access to most of the interesting sites in the area.

Excellent unique 5-star hotel in Cagliari. New hotel with large and well furnished rooms. Great bed and cleanliness. The hotel is undoubtedly the best in town and also boasts an excellent restaurant. In the square there is also an excellent pizzeria. Complete the breakfast and the overall good service and partly carried out by very young guys with a great desire to do. Certainly in returning to Cagliari I would repeat the experience. Excellent quality-price relation.

L'unico lato positivo di questa struttura è che si trova a due passi dal centro. Per il resto esperienza da dimenticare! La struttura ha uno sgradevole odore di stantio che si sente persino dalla strada e che in camera è davvero fastidioso, inoltre nei corridoi aleggia sempre un forte odore di fumo di sigaretta. Per raggiungere le camere è necessario inerpicarsi su una (o due!) lunga e ripida scalinata che, avendo un paio di bagagli non leggerissimi al seguito, rischia anche di essere piuttosto pericolosa. Avevamo prenotato la camera con colazione, salvo poi scoprire che la ”colazione” consisteva in un ”kit” lasciato direttamente in camera (biscotto e fetta biscottata + una bustina di tè). Se fosse stato segnalato che la colazione era di tal fatta non avremmo certo pagato l'extra! Ci è capitato di chiedere un rotolo di carta igienica aggiuntivo e non era disponibile. La doccia aveva più o meno le dimensioni di una bara! E' abbastanza facile posteggiare in zona, ma quasi esclusivamente a pagamento e solo in strada. La via in cui si trova la struttura è piuttosto rumorosa sino a tarda sera e dalla mattina presto.

Ok so this might take some time but I think everyone should know what follows before even thinking on book at this hotel. THIS IS NOT A 4 STAR HOTEL!!! It's a scam!!! I did book here for 13 nights and I literally had to go away after two nights as the rooms are ridiculously old, full of issues, and incredibly uncomfortable!!! After the first night, I woke up with extreme back pain due to the extremely poor quality of the mattress!! Seriously the worst ever slept on in 20 years of travelling!!!! The staff at the reception though, very kindly did agree to change my room. Unfortunately, the new one was even worse and with more issues!!!! I could not sleep at all due to a very loud machanic / electric noise coming from the bathroom's ceiling that goes off every 2 minutes sharp!! Literary every 2 minute period you had to listen at this strong noise which made impossible for me to sleep. So at 2am I had to go to the reception to ask to fix the issue which unfortunately, it couldn't be fixed as that is the way it is in that hotel!!! Apparently for them it's normal!! In addition the super loud music from the restaurant downstairs it is on up to almost 1am!!! What a fraud!! Furthermore, even in this room qthe mattress was so old and flat that you couldn't sleep on it!! (see pictures attached) The bathroom of both rooms (so I suspect all of them) have no windows nor a fan!!!! Seriously????? In a 4 star hotel bathrooms without ventilation????? What a joke!!!!! I've been travelling for 20 years this year, and I have honestly not seen anything so badly maintained in my travel life!!! Probably the owners is friend to someone at the council, and paid them to get the 4 stars, tipical Italian situation. This is a real scam. This hotel does not deserve more than 2 stars. No gym, no pool, horrible mattress, no ventilation in the bathrooms nor a windows, noise!!! What on earth. I had to cancel the rest of my staying (10 more nights) and book somewhere else which did cost me 30% more. The only positive thing that can be saved from this experience is the staff. From the very kind ladies that clean the rooms, to the staff at the reception (both the day and night staff) and the people at the restaurant, they are all very good, professional and people with good heart. What a waste, I hope for them that they can find a better job in a better place as they deserve. Very disappointed of booking to sell this horrible place as a 4 star hotel. Unbelievable. Ridiculous.
