We booked a cosy double for two nights in February. The first room we were given on the ground floor was not clean, it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned prior to our check in. The reception staff quickly changed our room which was much better. The general facilities were good, good bar service, pool / gym area was good. Only downside was the sauna wasn’t working.
We would recommend the hotel due to its excellent location, beautiful communal areas and grounds. Opting for a higher price room, overlooking the front of the property would be our choice if we stay again.

I chose this one because it was a good price :) in the center of Buxton town. Close to restaurants, shops, train station, bus stop, nice park 5 minutes from the hotel. Nice service.

Great hotel conveniently located at the end of town by the train station. Lots of top restaurants and shops at the bottom of the hill. Staff were great too.

Fantastic location nice hotel our room was perfectly fine the bathroom was a little tired but functional for our one night stay here, the staff are friendly and helpful we would stay here again.

At 3pm check in, the room wasn’t ready. I was asked to wait and would be advised when it was ready. The lady forgot, and I returned to the desk to check. Around 3:50pm we were able to go to the room. For my partners birthday and one night stay, we had wasted an hour waiting for the room.
It wasn’t clear from exiting the lift where our room was going to be, as the rooms numbers didn’t reach the our room number.
The hotel entrance was grand and very pleasant, with a pianist playing in the evening.
The room walls were awfully thin, as we found out. The breakfast was very good, with a great selection and quality of the food.
The location was perfect, to walk to the sightseeing spots and local amenities.
Left disappointed by the customer service on arrival.
