Hilton Garden Inn Buffalo Downtown

When they upgrade you, they do it in a big way. We had a spacious suite which was clean, quiet and comfortable. The gentleman at the front desk made a great recommendation for dinner (Pearl St. Brewing Co) that was just a short walk. I was concerned when we first arrived about panhandlers in the area but didn’t see any when we went to dinner.
Aloft Buffalo Downtown

We've never stayed at an Aloft hotel before. After this stay it certainly won't be our last!! Our corner room had floor to ceiling windows giving us spectacular panoramic views of the city and lake Erie. We also had a balcony with 2 chairs and weather cooperated so we were able sit out and enjoy. The Grab n Go breakfast options were the best. The breakfast sandwich was excellent and Big. The breakfast burrito was huge and the best I've tasted. The XYZ bar was cool. Good drinks and food were really good, especially the chicken BLT wrap. The neighboring place. V/Ice had exceptional salads. The staff was great and facilitie clean and modern
Best Western on the Avenue

Rich breakfast, American simple meal, suitable for sleeping in from 7 to 10 o'clock Great location, five minutes' taxi ride to anywhere Walk to Baffulo Convention Center for 15-20 minutes and buy a cup of coffee on the way back to calm your stomach. The front desk is very welcoming. Thank you very much for their kindness and help. Just walk to the center. No need to waste time by taking a subway. Take a taxi and arrive 5 minutes in advance. You may need to find a parking space when driving. Few people drive🚗 Many people go to see the Great Falls, which is really close to Canada.
Hampton Inn & Suites Buffalo Downtown

Booked a quick overnight trip and chose this hotel so the kids could enjoy the pool. There was no disclaimer on the website or Hilton app (an easy update!) that the pool was closed (and had been closed for several days prior to our arrival). I immediately asked if I could cancel my check-in because we wanted to find another hotel with a pool. (I would never have kept my reservation had I been informed about this.) The front desk clerk (who could not have cared less about our disappointment) said we could not, and there was no discount despite the hotel’s main amenity being out of commission. A true bait and switch! Instead, the clerk said we could walk a mile to the Marriott and use their pool. There is nothing I wanted to do less than walk around Chippewa St in a wet bathing suit at 7pm. We ultimately did travel to the Marriott to try and salvage some fun, and it was a huge pain & pool area was super small. The Marriott front desk clerk had to manually unlock the pool door for us, and we could not use the restroom bc it required a Marriott room key. We felt like unwanted guests, which only irritated us more. As an aside- the Marriott (comparatively priced) is overall much nicer than the Hampton. We piled back into the car in wet swimsuits to return to the Hampton. This quick overnight was anything but relaxing. Our room was subpar at best & there were red stains on bedspread. We had one tiny window that looked directly into a neighboring office building. Breakfast was usual Hampton spread, but most of the waffle toppings were empty and not replenished. Parking lot is small and costs $15 per day! Like, why? The Marriott does not charge a parking fee. There are many lodging options downtown - skip this one.
The Westin Buffalo

Exceptional! Wow! The Westin Buffalo is the nicest hotel we ever stayed at. We originally went to Niagara Falls but it was a horrible experience. I called the Westin Buffalo and from the minute Nadine took the phone call until check out we were treated like kings. This hotel is immaculate! The decor is gorgeous. Very clean. Great food and coffee. We plan to continue our stays with Westin for future trips. Thank you Nadine and all of the exceptional staff.
Courtyard Buffalo Downtown/Canalside

This is a hotel with a revitalized part of downtown Buffalo. Within walking distance of both the home of the Sabres as well as home of the Bisons, it makes for a great base if you are going to downtown Buffalo. Right on the metro line and roughly a 20 minute ride from the airport. There are multiple options for food close, including multiple breweries if like me you enjoy your beer. The fitness center is located on the lower level and is adequate but while I didn’t use it, the indoor pool right next to it looked pretty sweet. The rooms are spacious and I wasn’t bothered by noise of any kind. The elevators take some getting used to because there are two that are spaced about 10-15 feet apart but only one button to request the elevator and the fact the staff uses these elevators too was slightly confusing but no biggie once you realized you could use either (the biggest issue being you couldn’t necessarily see which one was coming if you were closer to the other). If I were returning to Buffalo, I would have no issues coming back
