This hotel is old and dumpy. The beds are very uncomfortable and the pillows are worse. We booked through the site for 2 nights Tuesday August 16th and Wednesday August 17th; the site quoted $156 for the first nite and $166 for the second night. When we got the bill the first night was charged @ $156.66, the second night there was a charge of $176.38 PLUS an additional Tax Recovery Charge of $165.67 giving us the grand total of $498.71. The air conditioning was set at 68 when we arrived and although we turned it up to 77' it took two days to warm up. We had to ask for additonal blankets and they also brought up a heater. We asked for an additional luggage rack as we each had a suitcase and there was one in the room. I can appreciate it being post Covid and the industry but the sheets were so heavily ?starched, I itched all night. All in all a major disappointment and definitely not worth the money we shelled out to stay there. We have travelled in the US quite a bit and I can honestly say we have NEVER stayed in such a terrible hotel. The misleading advertising on the website as to what the prices are if you if you book direct. Clearly the fees we saw when we booked were not the ones on our final bill. I was never so happy to go home.

The hotel should be considered next to Buffalo City, about 30 minutes from the waterfall, a little drive away. The first room was arranged next to the road and it felt a bit noisy. After communicating, I quickly changed to a room inside, free parking, it is very convenient, and there are some restaurants around. Simple meals are also convenient. There is a laundry room, and the service desk downstairs can buy washing powder and change coins. Still recommended hotel

The opposite is the airport, but it takes a lot of laps to go around. Fortunately, the hotel provides a free pick-up and drop-off machine, ready to tip. There is a McDonald's at the entrance of the hotel. You can take a quick meal.

Stayed here while in town for an appointment. Had previously stayed at a competitor property next door with a horrible stay. We were very pleased to find that the experience didn't carry over for the area. While there were a few items that could have been better (more on that below), we were happy with our stay. All of the staff that we interacted with were extremely welcoming and helpful. A few items that could have been better that we noted was the transition from the hard floor to the carpet in the room needed some attention. The carpet could be replaced as it is worn at the transition area which is expected over time. Otherwise the room was clean as were all areas of the hotel that we accessed. The little store area was unique and well stocked with a variety of options and seemed to have far better pricing that what one would expect at a hotel. If back in the Buffalo Amherst area, we would stay here again as it is far better than some others near by!

There are breakfast, usually American scrambled eggs and boiled eggs, as well as sausage and ham. You can also make some waffles yourself. There are three kinds of cereals. There are two kinds of fruits. Basically, there are drinks, like juice or milk. The hotel has a washing machine and dryer, and each floor has it. Washing machine 8 25 cents wash once, the dryer is 4 25 cents. If you don't have enough cents, you can go to the front desk to change. Baggage can also be stored at the front desk without any fees. There is a parking lot.

The room is OK, the breakfast is very simple, there is no problem with eating, the front desk has always had coffee and tea and hot water. There is nothing around, but there is a Chinese restaurant not far from the car that is delicious.

Hotel was under renovations at the time so I'll give them that. But rooms were dirty, smelled, and didn't seem sanitized. Tried to mask the smell with baby powder smells throughout hallways. No pool. Had a conference room that was convenient but nothing fancy about it. Beds were quite uncomfortable. Nicest thing about hotel was the bar attached that had a good menu and alcohol selection; and you could walk to Denny's and walk to the Speedway for snacks.

We live almost 2 hours away, and stayed at Sleep Inn & Suites so our family of 4 could get a little extra sleep before an early morning flight out of BUF. We booked a room and parking package, which allowed us to leave our car in the hotel parking lot for an upcharge that amounted to half of what we'd have paid to park it at the airport. Our room (standard, 2 double beds) was not fancy, and the shower was very small, but it was clean, comfortable, and quiet, and everything was in good working order. Best of all, the breakfast offerings were set out early enough for us to have a delicious meal before we left, and our shuttle driver to the airport could not have been more cheerful or helpful. When we returned over a week later, late at night, the shuttle arrived to pick us up at the airport within minutes of our calling. We had such a good experience, we've already booked a stay for the night before our next family vacation!

The room was well designed and I especially liked the bathroom shower, which reminded me of an expensive hotel. There was a wide variety of breakfast options.
However, it was unfortunate that the laundry room was broken and could not be used.

GGuest UserStayed here on March 16th. We were in town to attend the Journey concert. At approximately 5:30am, the fire alarm went off. It was a loud screeching alarm. We were advised over an intercom to evacuate the property. It was rainy and cold and we waited outside for over an hour. We were finally advised to go back to our rooms. After getting back to sleep, we were again awakened by the smoke alarm at 10:00am. We weren't going to go stand outside again, so we gathered our belongings and left the hotel. I sent an email to Marriott customer service asking for a partial refund or some Marriott points for our inconvenience. As of this date (March 29th), I have not heard back from them. I've been a Marriott customer for many years. Very disappointed in their poor customer service!

Despite being very full on a holiday weekend, our room was almost completely silent and the upgraded suite we had was enormous with all kinds of useful space, especially in the bathroom which even with a giant tub, a separate shower and 2 sinks, still had a TON of open space. Parking was very convenient and not too expensive. We didn't try the breakfast or pool/hot tub but everything appeared to be working well.

LLEIThe hotel is located in the center of Buffalo, very close to the Civic Center. The hotel is decorated in a classic style. I booked a suite, not including breakfast. The western restaurant on the first floor of the hotel can be ordered by myself. The room is very large, with kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, very much like it! The hotel service is good, the front desk is very welcoming and can store luggage.

GGuest UserWe stayed here September 28 as part of our Niagara bus tour. I wish we knew that the hotel was next to a TGIF. IWe could have had a late dinner here instead of the overpriced food court where our tour bus took us. The room was fairly comfortable although we had to ask for additional towels as they only supplied us with two when we are a party of four. It is supposed to be a non-smoking hotel but our room reeked of cigarette smoke. As with most hotels during this pandemic, they have done away with items that could be a potential health hazard like drinking glasses and tiny soap bars. They instead have those bottled soap, shampoo and conditioner dispensers. Unfortunately our conditioner dispenser did not work. I was excited to find a Kcup single brewer in the room but alas that too did not work. The HIE offered a warm breakfast of freshly prepared mini pancakes, egg and cheese omelet, sausage. One can opt for a healthy fare of yogurt and fruit. Understandably they only had bananas and apples as an option. I am writing this to keep the management aware and accountable for the safety issue I reported to the front desk. The door of room 303 requires brute force to open. One has to literally kick the door in to open from outside. My brother and nephew had to pull the door open to let us out. Obviously this is a quick fix but certainly one that should not be delayed or ignored. I hope management will take note of this report.

GGuest UserWhen they upgrade you, they do it in a big way. We had a spacious suite which was clean, quiet and comfortable. The gentleman at the front desk made a great recommendation for dinner (Pearl St. Brewing Co) that was just a short walk. I was concerned when we first arrived about panhandlers in the area but didn’t see any when we went to dinner.

GGuest UserThe male staff in the evening shift is very friendly, very patient, always smiling, and the service is very good! It rained outside and I also borrowed an umbrella for me. The room was great,
my room was on the top floor, there was a balcony in the room and the bed was very comfortable!
The location is very good, just in the city center, to various attractions, shopping and shopping, the surrounding restaurants are very convenient, it should be the best hotel I have ever stayed on this trip!
If you have the chance to go to Berlin again, you have to choose this hotel!

GGuest UserThe highlight of this hotel is the incredible staff including the front desk, valets, restaurant staff, and room attendants. Exceptional customer service on all fronts and very welcoming. Love the new decor and the historical pictures of Buffalo throughout the hotel. The lobby decor is beautiful and provides a wonderful relaxing atmosphere. My only complaint is that I thought breakfast was pricy at $25. The dinner menu at the restaurant is reasonably priced and totally enjoyed dinner and dessert. I also loved the warm decor of the room.
