Innit Rooms - Upper Rock

Great location, clean room and comfortable room. Did not receive code for main door or bedroom door. Did not anwser phone when called to enquire.

After reading some of the reviews I was a bit hesitant coming here… but honestly ignore them. If you’re after a very good value for money hotel, close to the beach, walking distance from the station then this is your place. I admit it wasn’t in top tier condition but you get what you’re paying for, I’m not a fussy ‘Karen’ and I knew that it wouldn’t be a 5* hotel because of the price. If you want something like that then pay for somewhere that costs more… Nice little additions in the room such as a fridge, fan, kettle, tea and coffee etc. Bed was comfy, room was quiet couldn’t fault it. Check in and out was easy as well, definitely would recommend.

We booked for 2 nights in upper rock rooms but when arriving we found the room allocated to us was ocean breeze in a different building, we later found out there were 4 different properties linked to upper rock rooms. The pictures on *********** wasn’t what we booked at all, very misleading! The room had very uneven floors, the bed was terribly uncomfortable and sunken, the window was filthy and wouldn’t shut so the assistant manager came to fix it, he bent the hinges and forced it shut and said to not open it again. The curtain pole was rusty, the room had cobwebs everywhere and the carpet was filthy. We didn’t fancy trying the shower!! We did complain, the next day we were moved to a different one of their properties which was lovely but this move should of been done on arrival, this completely ruined our weekend stay, we expected more communication from the staff, if it wasn’t for one of the cleaners who was so lovely and rang her colleague, we wouldn’t of known when we were able to move, absolutely awful customer service!! Would never book here again as they seem to miss advertise their rooms.

Good location, we initially had a problem with our TV. Within the hour we were moved to an amazing room Good price, clean room, great location. Car park five minute walk away. Would def. Book again .

Brighton is very expensive especially on Brighton Marathon weekend and this property was very cheaper in comparison to other properties and where we stayed last year. The room was clean, the shower was good and the beds were comfortable. There was a fridge and kettle in the room. The location is great as it is a 5-10 minute walk from the Palace Pier.

Clean and reasonably equipped. Central to main area and 5 mins walk from centre. Tea making equipment, tv windows opened, comfy bed etc etc. Near t main bus route 5 mns ti sea front. Bath room a disaster. Shower didnt empty properly so threanted to flood bathroom after running for a couple of minutes. Problems with plumbing. When sink taps were run waste water came up through shower drain with flecks of what smelt like raw sewage. Made the whole place stink

We stayed for one night and I must mirror previous reviews from others, re shower. However the room and bed were very clean, though small. I left my Amazon Kindle under my pillow and only remembered much later. The accommodation team were very quick to acknowledge this and post it back to me, at no charge! Very happy.

The location is great but from there the positives end. The building is tired and worn and the Room we had was no in a good state with stains on the carpet and dents on the door. The shower didn’t turn off properly and the toilet wouldn’t flush well. We requested more loo paper but none came. So I had to resort to using a nearby pub. This all cost over £300 for one night After, I fed this back and was told I’d receive a £50 refund - I’m grateful for it, but had to request this several times before the money landed.
