If it's at night, the owner has to come pick you up, otherwise you won't be able to find it. The scenery is absolutely stunning. The starry sky is something you can't normally see. If you get up to watch the sunrise, you'll be blown away by the beauty. You absolutely have to try their lamb! It's delicious.

The boss and his family are very hospitable and can help us plan our trip. The location for watching the sunrise is good and riding on flat ground is also very easy. The boss helped to contact the six of us to charter a car for a day, and 1 can choose dinner and breakfast. The experience of the dry toilet in the yurt is quite interesting. The driver is also a simple and enthusiastic Uyghur brother

The location is great, a bit off the road. You have to walk through the grasslands to the herders' territory, and you need the owner to lead the way. There are many horses, sheep, and even cattle grazing freely on the grassland. They live in yurts, one of which the owner's family also lives in. They have about 6 or 7 yurts in total, surrounded by a half-man-high fence. Cooking is done outside the yurt, and eating is done on a tatami table inside. The table is then tucked away to the side afterward. It's very quiet, and even though it's a bit off the road, you can still see the lake. The lake is on one side, and the grassland and mountains are on three sides—it's absolutely beautiful. We arrived just as the sun was setting, so we rented horses from the owner. Strolling through the grassland in the fading light, with the lake to the left and the mountains behind, it was a truly tranquil experience. The sky was filled with stars in the middle of the night, and even though it was cold, I still ran out to admire them several times. The owner's wife's hand-pulled lamb (it has to be 1 kg or it won't cook well, and it's a huge pot) is absolutely delicious 😋. We couldn't finish the rice and stir-fried dishes, but we almost finished the mutton and soup.

The feeling of being surrounded by sheep in the morning is beyond words. In the afternoon, I rode a horse to look for marmots and happened to encounter the herdsmen's sheep-catching activities. In the evening, I returned to the yurt. The landlord helped me cook hand-pulled mutton (make an appointment with the landlord in advance and prepare the mutton in advance), grilled mutton skewers, drank mutton soup, and even lit a stove in the evening when it was cold.

The beautiful hostess was truly wonderful. The room was spotless, with disposable sheets, pillowcases, and duvet covers, so there was no need to worry about cleanliness. The host even provided transportation to and from the Xihai Grassland. The yurt was located far from the scenic area, and we were able to enjoy the scenery from the hostess's car. The hostess also raised horses and sheep, offering horseback riding at a very reasonable price. The yurt's location was also fantastic, with stunning views right outside, much better than the views from the campsites at the scenic spots. The hostess was very welcoming and even taught us a local dance. I'd definitely stay here again next time.

This is a very quaint, traditional yurt. The owner is a local Kazakh. His Chinese isn't particularly fluent, but he can communicate with me. It's a great way to experience the ethnic grassland culture. It's a little far from the lake, but someone will pick you up. There's a generator and a dry toilet, and the owner cooks some meals, which is enough for basic needs. The grasslands are vast, and you can ride their horses. The starry sky at night is also beautiful.
