sadly the apartment didn't live up to the beautiful Art Deco exterior and communal areas. We stayed during the Commonwealth Games, which presumably accounted for the massive price rise (over £1500 more than the current listing price for the same apartment) Let me first say that as a positive, I couldn't fault the staff there - particularly the cleaners and the maintenance man we encountered. However, for the price we paid (or even for the current list price) I did feel let down. The bed was very small, and the bedroom itself was stiflingly hot, despite the open windows and the fans, which worked almost constantly while we were there. In fact, my husband slept quite a few nights on the sofa for this reason. The television kept switching itself off and although we reported this on more than one occasion, it was unable to be fixed while we were there. The toilet seat lid came off in our hands on the first night we were there, and this happened again even after it had been ”fixed” twice, so in the end we just left it off. We were unable to leave the windows open at night due to frequent noises from outside of bottles/glasses being emptied into bins from (presumably) local pubs. All in all, I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend it to any of my friends. I do realise however, from reading other reviews, that other people have had a different experience from the one we had, but it's not for us.
Only stayed in this hotel for one night but can't fault it at all. Double rooms are not massive but very comfortable and contain great little touches, The free chocolate and drinks provided are a touch that probably doesn't cost the hotel a lot but is a welcome relief from the profiteering vibe most hotels portray. The hotel also has a built in chrome cast to the TV so you can cast over your own Netflix or Disney plus shows. I would also like to mention that despite the fact it seems to cater for a significant number of guests every morning the breakfast is exceptional and brought on order. (a little tip is you can ask for a cappuccino in the morning rather than the tea or coffee initially offered). Hotel is also in a great location near to a lot of nice bars and restaurants and although it doesn't have parking, the train station car park around the corner is reasonably priced and secure. Would definitely stay again and recommend.
Staying for 6 nights and looking for a hotel convenient for getting to and from the NEC this hotel ticked a lot of boxes The one negative is the lack of parking however this was easily resolved by finding a local car park to leave the car in. Having travelled with case, bag and some other buts in hand I opted to check in at reception so I didn't need to put everything down. Although happy to help that simply meant the team member had to do it on the device which seemed a but counter intuitive. I had to request a wifi code, but was given my room - A big negative (I have heard this from others is the noise from outside, bottles being tipped was a daily thing at stupid o'clock in the morning on multiple occasions - I was 5th floor but would recommend going as high as possible floor wise. The room itself was nice and well appointed, windows do not open and the room temp seems to default to 25 which meant randomly the room becoming very warm. Shower was spacious although would benefit from a wider or more manouverable overhead showerhead as I ended up slightly angled. The big issue for me was the lack of room cleaning - you had to request it (i don't have an issue with this for cleaning) however this meant you had to also manually request towels and coffee top ups, water etc. In the Premium rooms this meant the daily sweet treat happened twice, most days i didn't have coffee, I had dirty cups when I did and by the time i needed a shower it was to late to change it. I'm sure for a one night/two night stay this would be less of a problem, as i was there on business, out from 8-6.30+ back for about 30 mins to get changed then out with customers this meant I had very little time for waiting to request these basics. The times I did they were provided, however coming to replace the towels didnt result in fresh cups, or providing water/coffees etc, Wifi was equally a faff, A new code had to be requested each day, having been given the same code on more than one occasion this meant it didn't work so meant I tethered to my phone as I frankly couldn't be bothered to trapse all the way to the ground floor to request another one. I think due to these cuts and the semi automated room management that there are less staff onsite which often resulted in waiting for staff who were busy elsewhere to be able to request things that are included and felt like a way of having to provide less. Very disappointed and while I wouldn't rule out staying there again i would certainly be looking elsewhere first
Very Good

This hotel is a bit old, the power outlet is old, but the bathroom is super super, equivalent to another room, breakfast is very good, you can order. The hotel is on the edge of St. Martin's Church, the city center.

Needed somewhere pretty central for the cricket finals at Edgbaston on the Saturday. This fit the bill location wise. Had 3 rooms booked. Ideally needed an early check in to drop bags and get to the cricket for 11am. They couldn’t accommodate that but they did let us drop bags into their storage room and also let us check in late - midnight - after the cricket and a curry in town. Breakfast good choice and not busy. Hotel didn’t seem too busy but there did seem to be a lot of people in the conference area on Saturday. No bar open but that was probably a good thing as we needed to be up and away the next day. Ideal for the cricket - just keep in mind it doesn’t have anything in the way of bars late on. Also limited on parking. NCP Birmingham Londonderry House was the best bet - couple of minutes walk away. Will book again - when are you taking booking for sept 2025?
Good location only a 15 minute walk from BNS station. Single room was perfect for a solo traveller had everything you’d need, en-suite bathroom, toiletries & beverage tray. Good food served downstairs in the pub.

Going on a business trip, really not looking forward to it at all..booked the closest hotel to the venue not realising it’s actually connected..expected to be in a travel lodge-esque box…this hotel was so nice, I’d happily go back! Everything about it, polite helpful check-in staff, excellent room with everything I needed. Lovely staff in the restaurant, even allowed me to grab a pastry for breakfast even though I’d not paid for breakfast ( surgery precludes me chomping down on piled high buffet plates)….uber comfortable bed, fab shower, tea coffee facilities, iron and board, usb sockets in the room…in spite of what others may have experienced, the entire hotel was immaculately clean and tidy..with a somewhat unusual but really nice orange smell in the reception…would not hesitate to stay here again!!
We did a self driving trip in Birmingham, which means the only problem for transportation we need to concern is car parking. Cannot provide info about location.
Rooms are clean and big enough for opening the suitcases. Breakfast is literally amazing which has so many choices.
