My recent stay at this Marriott-branded hotel was quite disappointing. While the room was clean, it was extremely noisy. We approached the front desk at night regarding the disturbance, but were only told that they would look into the source of the noise and could not offer a room change. It's unclear whether there were actually no available rooms or if they were just trying to placate us.
The second major issue occurred on Sunday morning around 7 AM when we were abruptly awakened by the sound of a power drill. I find it very hard to understand why such work would commence so early on a Sunday morning. When we mentioned this to the front desk upon checkout, they merely offered us a cup of coffee as compensation, which felt quite dismissive and unprofessional. We declined the coffee, as such an offer hardly compensates for the inconvenience we experienced.
They also mentioned a complimentary room upgrade for a future stay, but who would dare to come back after such an experience? Moreover, we had originally booked a water view room, which was not a standard room.
This was my first experience with a Marriott-branded hotel, and it was very disappointing.
