Saint James on Venice

The Staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is very safe and close to all amenities. Just a revamp of the place would be nice. New lines to the breakfast menu would be awesome. Cutlery and microwave should be in each room.

Good Day I would like to share my experience about Saint James on Venice. I booked at Saint James on Venice on the 5th of December 2024. When I booked the room on the 3rd of December I advised the lady that I would like a room with a shower. On the day of my arrival after a long and tiring flight, we arrived at Saint James on Venice at 10pm.They placed me us in room 15. I had to climb these stairs with my old mother and was placed in a room with a bathtub. I am a regular customer at Saint James on Venice however I will not book here again and I will not recommend anyone to stay at Saint James on Venice. The service is poor and pathetic. When I asked for a refund so that I could find my mum and I alternate accommodation, I was told that they would place me in another room however the lights were not working. I would also like to add on the fact that we were placed in a room with a shower downstairs however the lights didn’t work and the air conditioner dripped on our heads the entire night. It was around 1am and we were unable to sleep due the fact that the water from the air conditioner kept dripping on our heads. This is absolutely ridiculous. No one will be able to stay in this room.It is extremely hot and one cannot sleep without the air conditioner on. I put a pillow and in an hour the pillow was soaking wet. I emailed managed at Saint James on Venice with my complaint and was advised on the 6th of December that they will compensate me for 1 nights stay as the level of service was not up to standard. It’s a month later and I haven’t received anything. I would not advise anyone to stay here.

I like the place, it's safe, central, convenient and affordable. Friendly and welcoming host. Will visit again

The staff was friendly and welcoming, it was neat and quiet. I really loved it there. I am willing to book there again

Accommodation is very clean and the breakfast excellent. The only issue we had was other guests sitting outside to all hours of the morning keeping us awake. We had to complain twice. Comfortable and spacious.

Hi the place was excellent I only had two Issues one the room requires a shower and need a plug points for phone by the bed 🛏️ The stay was excellent, staff was friendly and caring . I would definitely come back if there is shower as we travel from cpt and Johannesburg sending staff . This was excellent place just needs two things I think honestly. Room was always cleaned after I left with new towels. I will await more for a response
