Staying for a night for tbe experience is ok. Very little to do round about. Plus the food options are very limited.
Pros:
Spacious room overlooking the mountains and forest. Bed is soft and comfy.
Breakfast, served at La Blason (Carmelia) is ok. There is noodle prepared on the spot, porridge, nasi lemak, 6 varieties of bread and a host of other items. Note: coffee is not machine prepared
Swimming pool is not crowded but tne cracked tiles make it not presentable.
Cons:
Bathroom isn't too well scrubbed with stain and dirt, showing sign of age.
There is no powerpoint nor side tables by the bedside, very inconvenient. There is no master switch for the lights by the bed side either.
The power socket is beneath the table, very inconvenient. I have to leave the electric kettle on the floor while boiling as the cable is too short.
Very limited TV channels. It is not a smart TV.

The hotel rooms were great. We were treated with njce desserts upon arrival and when we checked in to our rooms. The hotel gave desserts on our second day when we came back after dinner. The desserts were delicious. We also had a good night sleep as the beds were so comfy.

Location is toooooo far away from sky avenue complex. Its was almost 15mins walk from our room to the main/casino area. Its definitely a hotel for family with kids instead of a group of friends unless u are planning to stay in the room most of the time because it seems like only sky avenue able to cater up to 6 pax a room. The room was clean but it was too hollow you can feel every movement from all areas and banging loud noise. Some of us even experienced eerie noises in the middle of the night. Overall the stay was ok. But i wouldn’t recommend for those who only wanna go to the ****** most of the time as its too far away.

Formerly called - Maxims Hotel, and now renamed to Highlands Hotel. I revisit this property (as no much choice left for 4-5 star hotels in Resorts World Genting, at this point of time), and what does impressed me is the check-in process. I remembered previous check in usually took long and not well organized, front desk staffs not attentive, kind of messy but this time, they impressed me. When I reached the lobby, I was greeted by a front desk staff, escorted you to the sitting areas meanwhile prepare the check in procedures. The staffs are more attentive to guests arrival experience now and you can never felt being left out (like last time). While room is well maintained, clean, and welcome fruits and mask provided too (last time no welcome fruits though!) Overall, service quality is improved and keep it up, Highlands Hotel.

Great location, fantastic view. The entry to the room can be confusing but the owner was kind enough to provide detailed information along with a video clip. There was a strong smell from the kitchen sink's drain that could be uncomfortable for those who chose to sleep on the bed near the kitchen. Otherwise, overall, it was a good experience.

The place is clean, big and spacious, the tv has many channels and alot of movies, if you want you can stream Netflix from your phone or bluetooth with phone. There many food choices below the hotel. Wifi is best at 9ms. Only issue is going to and fro genting highlands. Although it's 9mins drive but very hard to get cab as the road is very windy and narrow very much like 99bend and devils bend. Poor road with pot holes and every few mins low clouds covers the road causing poor visibility

I had an absolutely amazing experience while staying at this hotel. The room was small and basic, but it was reasonably clean. The location was fantastic, right within a stone's throw of Bentong City. Most of the great attractions and eateries were within walking distance. The staff were amazing, going above and beyond to ensure that I was well taken care of.

GGuest UserWe booked 2 rooms and stayed here for a night with our family. Overall was okay, the front office staffs were very nice and friendly, the checked in process is basically flawless. The F&B staff were really friendly especially those staffs at the pool area. We enjoyed our stay but the room I stayed in has no items at the mini bar, I called the room service a few times to asked for the items but they just simply sent me a few items despite I was only asking for tea bags. Also the cups was not washed at all, coffee stained was still on the cups, i have to wash it with boiling waster and i can see the water turned brown after I poured it into the cups. Another thing is We asked for an extra bed, but no extra amenities (toothbrush and others) was provided, again I need to call the to provide it. Overall the stay was okay. I think the housekeeping department really need to pay more attention to details and not to mentioned the person who picked up my call when i asked for extra amenities and tea bags was rather unfriendly.

In terms of facilities and amenities it was acceptable. They give a little bag of cookie with a basic toiletries which was good.
The only downside was the overall staff service was very slow and less attentive. We had to follow up and check numerous times before getting our request done.

AAinina_MPros: The location of residence is strategic as they have a linked bridge to eateries (mamak, cafe, many Chinese shop), convenience store, mart (7-11, KK, 99 Speedmart, family mart), petrol station (Petron). Somehow, it can be very silent and dark at night when walking at the bridge. The cleanliness of room is fair but could improve more as the sofa/couch is dusty and torn (I even had insect bites when sitting) but they cover up with a large cloth. The kitchenette had everything from utensils (spoon, fork, knife, scissors). It's equipped with an induction stove, a hood, a microwave, a refrigerator, big sink, dish soap, and a sponge. There was a cloth, but I knew it was not clean for ages because I almost fainted due to the smell, I had to wash it a number of times before using or else you could bring your own kitchen towel. There is also washing machine that has drying option, detergent powder, broom, dustpan, mop and a small portable clothesline. There is heater available but sometimes it goes off I doubt they have timer for the heater. The room was nice, but blankets and pillows are not properly washed and cleaned, it's obvious. The hall had TV box. They also had strong Wi-Fi connection. The hall also had small but wide coffee table, round dining table and chairs.The service from front office(maplehome) was nice and pleasant, one of them attended us was new or he was a trainee, but he still attends us well. The residence has a big swimming pool, child's swimming pool, a small exercise area, a small children's playground, a room with only one table tennis/ping pong table and a gym. The gym is quite a disappointment because there was 4 treadmill and 2 is not in service. One is showing error and one more couldn't even turn on (I have switched on all the plugs). The other machine was okay but only one or two can be used. The weight machine and others were very rusty and had no maintenance and cleaning. The only thing you can use is the dumbbell or weight, but it is also rusty. The lights can be turned on, but the fan couldn't so there was no ventilation, and I couldn't be in for more than 20 minutes. The sauna was in the washroom of the G(ground) floor, and it was not very safe as it is quite isolated from the security if anything happens, and it was locked because you need to inform the security and give your room details for them to record the usage of sauna.
Cons: The main minus point in this residence is their elevator/lift. There were only 4 lifts in the whole block/tower with 38 floors. One of the lifts is under maintenance or I believe they it shut down, (tactics used by all residence/hotel to save electricity). The other 3 lifts were occupied every time. But the only thing I can't take it was during the checkout (on Sunday). Checkout time is 11am??? The number of people checking out is a lot and the lift will not stop until it reaches the top (38th floor). For your info, the lift stops at each level going up and going down. For example, I was on the 10th floor, and I could not go down as it have to go up first and then it opens at each floor until the top (38th). When it was going down, it opens again at each floor. So, I was stucked in the lift with no ventilation for about 30 mins, and I waited for the elevator for 20 mins. So, it's about an hour. We also chatted among the guest in elevator and all of them face the same struggle. Everyone waited for almost an hour for the elevator and mind you if we take the staircase, it is only accessible until G floor meanwhile the lobby is at the L7 floor (lower 7, lower than G floor). So, there is no way but to take the elevator. Next, is the environment that is silent and not much movement especially during the night which gives off creepy vibes. Furthermore, I did find a tiny baby cockroach under the shoe rack but I'm afraid it came from outside at the washing machine area.

YYayaBook a room without carpark but have hotel guest carpark. Drive out had to QR pay first, in this payment time is wasted my time. TNG pay unsuccessful twice, change to card payment unsuccess also but the guard said can already. Me like huh??? After few minutes recieved msg told that already deduct. Ok good. But 2times want to go out, become the first payment unsuccess and made us need to pay double. This QR pay is not very friendly user.

Hopefully I can stay at this hotel again once I come to Genting Highland. The breakfast is very delicious which offers a variety of types of food. Really recommended for the vacation with the families.

GGuest UserThe location is about 1.4km to sky world and this is the reason we chose this place. The small route leading to this place is narrow and foggy so advise to drive when the sky is still bright. The check in process was a pain. No clear instruction when booking with Maplehome. We travelled with 2 elderly and 2 small kids. There are many blocks at ion delement. Upon arrival, I called them on check in process and I was asked to park at car park and go to level 3 for check in. They didn’t inform we are supposed to park at level 3 and check in at level 3 car park. So all of us dragging the luggage went to level 7. And called them again, went back to level 3, get the key, went to level 7 because family is waiting there not knowing where to go, went to grd floor of tower 1 and have to asked again then gotta walk outdoor to tower 2 on a very slippery walkway, then reach your place. It was a joke. Customer service is not doing a great job.
The place- it was spacious and ok. Sewerage smell is strong in kitchen and living hall. No dishwashing detergent provided so we didn’t use the glass. Heater not working after 3 persons used for 5 mins each. Good that there is en suite bathroom for the 2 bedrooms apartment we booked. Didn’t use the balcony as the weather was wet and cold so the floor was wet. TV has limited choice. Good that there is kids channel to keep the kids entertained. There were some small dirty stain on the wall. At night, the wind was strong so the room door keeps making sound even if it’s closed. Dogs were barking almost all night long.
- breakfast is not included if you booked with maplehome. If want to have breakfast, suggest to book direct with ion delement. We have to pay rm60 per person and rm30 per adult. However. It was the worst breakfast I had in my life- sausage was sour, ham soaked in water, people used hand to take bread, coffee not refilled in machine and doesn’t tastes good,
. Just take the egg. The restaurant should be rated as no star. Not hygienic, no passion and a pure mess. There is a small cafe opposite the restaurant. Suggest to try that if you happen to be there.
Wouldn’t return here again.

AAnonymous UserThe room was small but fine for 2 persons. Only coffee/tea making facilities. No toiletries provided as well as shower foam/shampoo/conditioner, can easily buy them from Watsons located downstairs. The room was at an older Wing, self check-in at the kiosks was convenient. We paid a little more and able to check into the room earlier. Must say the breakfast at Sweet Hugs located at new Tower lobby was worth checking out. It serves good breakfast spreads at super reasonable prices!!
