Everything looks magic and brings us in an old Chinese movie around here. The simple and probably old renovation of the hotel respects this particularity, offering a correct comfort. The isolation is not optimum but I would not expect more from any other place in the town. We asked for the hotel restaurants and they gave us a coupon for one out (we’ve been there, it was really nice). The choice of breakfast (between western and Chinese) is great. Pickup service is perfect, very fast and convenient!!! The staff, especially Bae, is very nice and helpful. Our train was cancelled and they immediately took care of us, giving a new room (a suite, very beautiful and comfortable).

This hotel is very clean and well Managed. I had no issues from beginning to end. The only thing was room service did not bring cutlery with my meal. But everything els was 1000%. Great Hotel! Will certainly be back. The only complaint I have is with the details of my package. This was very misleading and not accurate at all. This amazing package was actually just club access and had no special value.

The hotel is well located. Near the Wangfujing boulevard and the Tian’anmen square. Bus 111 stops right across from the hotel and it takes you to Jingshan park to have a bird’s eye view of the Forbidden City. The hotel breakfast was OK for Chinese standards, though it lacked cheese and ham variety. The room was spacious enough and although the bathroom needs some repairs it is well cleaned. Room service was efficient and the food wasn’t bad at all! -although westerners without Chinese language skills might struggle a bit to order food by phone. Staff is attentive, polite and friendly. Overall, we liked this hotel and our Beijing visit.

The hotel is very close to Jingshan Park. It is antique and you can see the pavilion of Jingshan. After visiting the Forbidden City, it takes about ten minutes to walk there. Sit in the yard for a while, the singing of birds and the fragrance of flowers make you very relaxed. There are not many rooms but they are very clean. The service is very good, they take the initiative to help with luggage, introduce the room, and help bring takeaways upstairs. Breakfast is a set menu, simple but well produced.

We have had a very great experience by staying at HouHaiYuan Hotel with the following reasons: 1. Great location - this hotel is located at 前井胡同，which is a very quiet and serene location. However, it is just a 5 minute walking distance to one of the moat popular tourist attractions - 烟袋斜街，and it is also walking distance to 南锣鼓巷 (about 15 min) and to 恭王府 （about 10 min). It is a walking distance to train station 2. Cleanliness & housekeepong - the room is very clean and every items in the room are free for use, including the beer and drinks in the mini bar 3. Service - the service of the hoteliers are superb! They are very helpful and they were trying their best to assist us in many areas, including helping us in arranging transportation and also our food order as we were unable to do it ourselves due to we are not having a phone line in china.

First of all, the lobby of this hotel is very commendable. The layout is warm and elegant. When you enter the door, you can smell the fragrance of tea, which is very refreshing. Then there is the enthusiasm and smiling service of the front desk staff. The lobby manager also helps to scan the health code and recommends fun attractions around. Furthermore, the room I stayed in was very clean. There were tea sets and white peony tea in the room. It was comfortable and the bedding was very comfortable. The hotel is very close to Beihai Park and there is a bus stop at the entrance, making it easy to travel. Finally, let’s talk about the breakfast at his home. The variety is complete. The signature is ”Home-style noodles”. It's delicious. I recommend it! It seems to be back to my own home! Will come again next time.

Geographically speaking, it is difficult for taxis to enter the alleys, but it only takes 7-8 minutes to get to the two nearest subway stations. The Tongmian Hotel is located in Nanluogu Lane. It is a tourist area, and you will be there as soon as you go out. Find the must-try delicacies and souvenirs to buy when you come to Beijing. The opening hours are relatively long. There are many scenic spots to visit in nearby cities, and others, such as the Great Wall, are planned for a long trip, no matter where you stay. However, going to the airport is a little troublesome, because you have to take a bus to go to the subway station with the airport line, which is inconvenient with luggage. I went to Chaoyang Airport, and ended up taking a taxi for ~80 yuan.

I don’t know why Ctrip defines it as an affordable luxury hotel. It’s just an inn. The location is amazing. It’s in Nanluoguxiang and very close to the subway station. My best friend and I have two kids. There are two double rooms and one is upstairs. The door cannot be locked. The window outside is the roof of the house next to it. The other room is on the first floor. In the middle of the night, I felt someone prying on the door and moving the window. It scared the baby so much that he dared not sleep. I called the innkeeper on duty and asked him to come and take a look. It took more than ten minutes to wait in such a small place. The next day I asked other staff and they said that Wong Tai Sin would wander around at night. Well... it's okay to just sleep for the location.

I absolutely loved the Shadow Puppetry aspect of this hotel. They do performances every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 8pm. Even though I don't speak Chinese, I really enjoyed the performances and the demonstrations of the history and logistics of the puppets. I also got to paint my own puppets after the show (for an extra fee), which I loved. Really friendly staff and beautiful décor. It would have been nice to have some more natural light in my room and the walk back to the hotel was pretty dark at night and away from the main street, which I would have preferred to avoid as a solo female traveller. However, all of this was made clear when booking the hotel, so they set clear expectations and made it a memorable and comfortable stay. Would recommend!
