Hotels near National Museum of China in Beijing

I went mid December, and they upgraded my room from a windowless room to a beautiful Chinese themed larger room for free. However, due to the large window, the heating system scouldnt keep ul and the temperature couldn't get higher than 16 degrees. Luckily, I come from Canada so I wasn't that bothered but I can understand how it may be uncomfortable for some travellers. On the second day, the font desk asked how the room was, (I think they were concerned about it being cold) and offered to switch me to a windowless, smaller room, which would be warmer. Unfortunately, there were bed bugs that bit me a few times both nights, on my hands, back, and neck. I wish I were a more confrontational person and let the front desk know... Next time if this issue arises I will tell the hotel. Other than the issues mentioned above, the room was lovely, free of smells and the bathroom had all amenities, and they offer free toothbrush and toothpaste at the service counter if you need them. There's a working mini fridge, and the location is ideal, right in the centre of a cultural immersion tourist street where there are food shops and souvenir stores outside. Also, the staff are very helpful, and aided with making an online reservation for me to go to Tiananmen Square for the flag raising ceremony (everything must be done online, and they helped read out the Chinese words that I don't know).

I stayed 31 nights during january 2024 at 7 days inn hotel. I chose this hotel because it was very close to the subway, in the center of Beijing and the heating system was good according to the reviews. I changed room the first day so I could have a little bit better room. The previous room had no universal charger and was very dark, the windows in front of a wall. My room was on the first floor, just next to the shared bathroom and to the water dispenser. The room was very big and quiet (unless people talk in the corridor), not a lot of light but some rooms has more sun light than others. No fridge inside but since it was january I put my food outside the windows if I wanted to keep it fresh. If you want to warm some food, you can use the microwage in the commun area but I never used it. The commun area is very close from the entrance door so it was very chilly. The staff was nice but almost no english. They explained to me how to use the washing machine and once the wifi was not working so they helped me. Internet was definetly not very good but I was able to watch youtube with my vpn. I will start now talking about the shared bathroom (which I already knew was shared when booking) but I didn't know the toilet would be squat toilets. I think if I knew before, I wouldn't choose this hotel. There was no lock in the toilets. The shower room has one and was very cold (because winter). The hot water was always there but I took my shower usually in the morning (so less people). The shared bathroom was dirty mostly because of clients that didn't clean after their buisness. There was regulary water on the floor so I was just going with my shoes on at some point. The washing machine was broken the first 2 weeks and then got replaced. I'm still a bit confused if clients can use it or only the staff, but I used it anyway. The area is maybe a bit empty at first but if you go to the Hong Qiao Pearl Market, in the basement there is a big food court where you can try chinese food (or subway and macdonalds). Overall I liked my journey in this hotel but I think it was too expensive for a shared bathroom this old and dirty. I paid 1000 euros for 31 days.

The location of the hotel is so closed to the MRT stat - 崇文门，the entrance/exit is just right in-front of the hotel! As it was off-peak season when we visited Beijing, we were upgraded to a Deluxe Suite, which mean there is a separate bedroom with a single bed, on top of a master room with a double bed. We really appreciate the kind act. While I was still at other part of China, I thought of ordering something online and use this hotel as the receiving end, I thought of just checking it out, and to my pleasant surprise, the hotel does provide such service and the staff helpfully guided me on how to do so. After I checked into the hotel and gotten the item I ordered, a few days later, but sadly the item didn't suit me, the hotel again provides the service of allowing the courier staff to go to the counter to collect back the return item. I was amazed by the extreme friendliness and helpfulness of the staff there. All in all, we really enjoyed the service extended to us! It is no doubt hotel staff in China places their guests at top priority, making them feel at home at all times.

Facilities: The decoration is too old, it was from 2008. At this price, I prefer to go to the current smart hotel. Hygiene: Of course the hygiene of a five-star hotel is acceptable. There is nothing to say about this. Environment: The environment is acceptable, with small bridges, flowing water and rockery Service: It was after one o'clock in the morning when we arrived. As a five-star hotel, doesn't the concierge provide 24-hour service? I have stayed in so many high-star hotels. When I entered, there was no concierge and the taxi driver brought me suitcases (one large and one small dragging 24-inch suitcases). I found the front desk by myself. The person who received me should be the lobby manager after reporting it. After checking in, he sent us all the way to the room and was kind enough to upgrade to a family suite. Next time I go to Beijing, I probably won't stay here again.

The staff at the hotel were fantastic. They were friendly, helpful and accommodating. There was warm water and hot drinks to welcome us back to the hotel everyday. Highlight was the self service cotton candy machine and the rooftop with views of Forbidden City. Buffet breakfast spread was also very good. It is about 5-10mins walk away from the main Wangfujing shopping street, but still very convenient. Definitely made our first trip to Beijing with young kids a very comfortable one.

Bathroom/shower stalls need to be cleaned THOROUGHLY of grim/stains and MOULDS! Which are not only unsightly but pose a danger to health! This is for ALL rooms! Water from shower stalls do not drain well due to poor construction gradient of shower floor. Check in smooth and although booked a room on 2/3rd floors, was given one on 4th floor accessible through an external door on 3rd fl through 2 flights of stairs and to the outside, certainly unsuitable for any older persons! Was subsequently given one on 3rd for subsequent nights. Poor room layouts, no storage space/hooks for clothes, no fridge and dismal lighting. Architect/designer has much to learn about room layouts etc before embarking on further hotel designs! Breakfast was ample/adequate but could have some different varieties each day for those who stay longer. This could have been an innovative arty hotel which the Owner has in mind but for the above. Saving grace was the front desk staff who were most helpful and special mention should be made of Helen, Owen, Jake and Vivian.

The location of the hotel is very good. It is about a 10-minute walk from the subway station, Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and Wangfujing. You can come back to catch up on your sleep after watching the flag-raising ceremony in the morning. It is very quiet at night. The breakfast is very good. The room type I chose It is especially suitable for a family of four. You can cook your own meals. There is a separate laundry room, which is equivalent to a small two-bedroom and one-living room. Overall, it is very good in all aspects, especially the hotel also has a small courtyard, which is good for those with children. You can go swinging. I’m very lucky to have stayed in a very good hotel this time when I came to Beijing!

Very good service, feels like home. The hotel closest to Tiananmen Square is very convenient for watching the flag raising. Just go half an hour early. You don’t have to be tired to visit Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, etc. The transportation is very convenient and the experience is great. I only asked for a birthday decoration when I checked in, but unexpectedly the hotel unexpectedly gave me a surprise birthday cake in the evening. Our room faced Tiananmen Square, and outside the room was the Forbidden City and Chang'an Street. It was a beautiful view. Breakfast is full of Iberian ham, braised beef noodles and eggs Benedict are also full of sincerity. The hotel's ice cream and Buddha Jumping over the Wall are also delicious. I will definitely stay here again next time I come to Beijing's Tiananmen Square. Every service staff is really nice. I commend Huang Yang of the front office by name and introduce him to the young man who is enthusiastic, generous and comprehensive. Please come on and stay as an intern.

Yetel Collection is located at very good location. From Beijing Capital International Airport to Yetel Collection by Airport express and Subway metro line to Wangfujing Metro Station. Yetel Collection is about 10m from Wangfujing Metro Station. Yetel Collection is beside Wangfujing walking street. The room has no window and the air-conditioning cannot be manully controlled. So the room can be quite warm even in winter. Yetel Collection is beside Wangfujing Walking and food street.
