Hotels in Guomao Area, Beijing

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the staff were incredibly kind and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious. It’s the perfect place to relax and unwind after a long day. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel – you won’t be disappointed. Truly worth every moment!

Stayed in the tiny room, tbh it was great for a single person, you don’t really need much more if your out all day. The room was cleaned every day and they refilled the water. There are 2 locations, it seems the small rooms are in the second building next door, there is no elevator, so if you have luggage you will need to upgrade to the building with the elevator at an additional cost - I was fine but for people with loads of bags it might be inconvenient. Another thing is the door, the front desk staff at first didn’t give me the additional card for the building door, I can speak Chinese so I demanded one. However there was another traveler who had to come to the main building ever time to get access. Overall great location and friendly staff, just remember to get two cards.

Really great breakfast, one of the best we had in the world. The metro station is just on the corner of the building so it is very easy to go anywhere there. Spa, pool, and etc really on high level! Plus live music at evenings... i highly recomends you this hotel!

Nice to find a hotel that offers family room for 4 in a single room - I guess in China it’s still rare for there to be more than 1 child in a family! The room was a good size with a very comfortable super king bed that fits 3 persons and an additional single bed. Bathroom was big with bath and separate rain shower. Bar was closed (for good??). Annoying as we had family who came to visit and wanted to have a drink together that isn’t just wine. At least offer some beer in your restaurant if the bar is closed. Breakfast was vast, lots of choice. But for the price I would expect better包子 and 油条. Felt like they came from a packet, not freshly made. I can get so much better on a street cart for less than £1, so very disappointing that a five star hotel cannot make decent Chinese staples. I would say the 豆腐脑, and 葱花饼 was lovely, and I stuck with this for the duration of the stay.

The room is great, but I was unhappy with the service 1. During check in I was asked to make payment for the hotel despite prepayment being made, I had to show the staff that prepayment was made and The counter staff showed no apologies.. 2. For the laundry service, the staff showed a lack of proactive, as the clothes were supposed to be FOLDED and return by next day 6pm.. which was not done, until I gave them a call and realized the payment has to be made first, despite me telling the staff (before passing them the clothes for washing)that I'll make payment upon check out(IN MANDARIN). For a 5 star hotel like this, it is rather disappointing.. which I would not consider staying at Sofitel globally again.

I have absolutely no regret staying at the Peninsula Beijing. Every US dollar spent here was so worth it, from bell services, check in, to the solid dining menus, to personal care, to the shopping options, to its prime location. We were minutes away from the abundance of malls, snacks, restaurants and the large pedestrian outdoor walking mall. The amenities here are amazing plenty and well staffed. Do bring your swim gear to take advantage of the pool. The staff at the pool and the spa were so friendly and extremely professional. Additionally, the check in staff were professional and patient as I was brushing up on my Mandarin skills. It felt extremely calm and welcoming. The restaurant staff were kind and definitely our superstars. Their breakfast menu covered authentic Chinese breakfast to western options.

Value for money. True to photos. Big spacious room with big two king size beds, wonderful for small families as it equipped with washing machine and fridge too. however should include a dryer especially convenient for small family.other than this all is perfect.

Best hotel we have ever stayed. We have stayed many hotels around the globe. This is definitely the best. The service, cleaning, food, location are all top notch. Will definitely stay again when we are back in Beijing next time. All The receptionists are nice, polite. We arrived super early because of the flight and with two young children. They even allow us to check in earlier without extra cost. We are motel owners overseas. We know early check-in without a charge rarely happens anywhere in other countries. Thank you so much for your fantastic services. 我们住过的最好的酒店， 我们住过世界上很多酒店，这里是唯一一个我们还会再光顾的酒店。所有的前台和礼宾部的人员都很友好且帮助了我们很多。我们的飞机很早就到了，再加上有两个小朋友，他们很热心的让我们免费提前入住。我们在国外开汽车旅馆的，我很负责人的说这种事情在国外是不可能发生的。这里的设施，清洁，餐厅和地点都是最棒的。非常感谢酒店所有员工的帮助，尤其是帮我办理入住的杜小姐（不知道有没有记错姓氏。

We as a family of four with two 7yo who visit China for the first time love this stay very much. One thing we love is its proximity to main tourist sites like Tiananmen Sq, Forbidden City, Wangfujing, and Temple of Heaven, etc. The service is top-notched. Every staff member is friendly and would proactively offer assistance. The ******* delivery lockers are in the secure place indoor. Love it. The hotel is one of a kind, like a museum. Make sure you spend sometime tour around. Some of the art pieces are better than the ones in actual museum.

Most notably, the top floor provides a breathtaking panoramic view of Beijing, making it a popular photoshoot spot for many celebrities. The hotel’s location is very convenient, close to famous shopping and entertainment centers. I will definitely come back!
