The Green Homestay

As soon as I got off work on Friday, I drove to Mentougou to visit Qingshanxia for the second time. Last time, it was summer and I stayed at Xiaochi. The courtyard was filled with fairy mist, which gave me the feeling of a small bridge and flowing water in the Jiangnan water village. Every step was a scene, and the careful design of the owner of the courtyard was reflected everywhere. This time I chose Xiaochuang and experienced a different feeling. Xiaochuangyuan has 3 floors. The first floor is the bedroom, dining room and living room. The living room has a large tatami mat, which can be laid flat at will. There is still enough space for a family of three. The private hot spring bath is on the second floor. It is so leisurely and beautiful to soak in the private hot spring and look at the mountain view through the small window! I don’t know if Xiaochuang got its name from this. There is also a small terrace on the third floor. It is still a bit cold now. I looked at the village landscape and hurried down. It is still nice to bask in the sun when it gets warmer. The boss is still enthusiastic and the service is thoughtful. I will come again.

I chose a non-weekend time to stay at the Qingshanxia B&B in Mentougou and quietly experience the slow-paced life in the rural courtyard. The boss was very enthusiastic. He waited in the parking lot in advance on the day of check-in to greet me. He also called an electric tricycle to help pull things. The brother who drove the tricycle was very simple and smiled. The yard we chose is called [Youman]. It is a small log yard with a bamboo forest and a Hobbit hut in the yard, which is suitable for small children to play. There are 2 bedrooms and 1 private soup room in the yard. The master bedroom has a large floor-to-ceiling window. The sun shines on the bamboo forest and the bamboo shadows are all over the tatami. The large living room is also equipped with tatami, and the lazy sofa is super comfortable, suitable for watching TV in it. I have asked the boss for a lazy sofa link, and I will also equip one for the reading corner at home. Breakfast has small noodles, fried fish, salad and fried eggs. The appearance and taste are very online, and the nutrition is reasonable. This time I stayed very comfortably, and I will come to experience other courtyards next time.

The courtyard in the mountains is really a hidden paradise, and the quiet and private environment makes people relax instantly. Soaking in the private hot spring under the warm sun, the body and mind are greatly soothed. The small bridge and flowing water, surrounded by green bamboo, seem to be in a painting. The butler service is very considerate, warm and thoughtful, and responds to needs at any time. The grilled fish, salad and soup noodles for breakfast are healthy and delicious, and the meal is very satisfying. This place is very suitable for people who don't want to leave Beijing but want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city for a short time. The one-day vacation experience is unforgettable. I stayed at Qingshanxia B&B with my lover on Valentine's Day. As soon as I entered the courtyard, I was attracted by the light and shadow of the bamboo forest. The rooms inside were neat and elegant. There was a tatami in the master bedroom, which was exposed to the sun all day long. It was very comfortable to sit on the lazy sofa and bask in the sun. The temperature of the private bath can be remotely controlled and adjusted at any time. Thanks to the boss for his thoughtful service throughout the whole process. The family lived comfortably and had a great time.

This time, I went on vacation with my friends in the suburbs of Beijing and chose the Qingshanxia B&B "Xiao Chuangyuan" in Mentougou, which completely refreshed my expectations for B&Bs in the suburbs of Beijing! From the super-large mountain view private bath to the super-detailed butler service, from Japanese aesthetics to mountain landscapes, every detail accurately hits the romantic needs of couples on vacation! I have to mention the private bath with a view on the second floor, which is definitely the soul of the B&B! The bathing pool is not only 24-hour constant temperature, but also can be remotely adjusted through the mobile phone at any time, from 38℃ slightly hot to 42℃ warm. The pool water is clear and very clean. The housekeeper said that it was thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, and the skin was not dry or itchy after soaking! Their private bath pool is the largest pool in the private bath B&Bs I have stayed in, and two people play around in it. When bathing, you can see the branches of century-old trees and the green tile eaves of the courtyard. There are mountains in the distance. The moonlight shines on the pool at night, and with the dim local lights, the romantic value is directly maxed out! The Japanese log-style design of the room is very appealing to me. The large tatami is moderately soft and hard, and I don't want to get up after lying down. The 100-inch projection has super clear picture quality. At night, I nestle in the quilt with my boyfriend to watch old movies. The floor heating warms my feet and makes me feel happy! The overall design of the homestay cleverly combines Japanese wabi-sabi with Chinese courtyard aesthetics: the bamboo forest rustles outside the floor-to-ceiling window, the log grille frames the bamboo forest, and the small round window at the corner of the staircase is unique! The housekeeper service is so considerate that it is "invisible"! Before checking in, the housekeeper will set up a group to communicate the needs, and the breakfast will be delivered to the room at the agreed time. Here I have to mention their breakfast, which is excellent, with special noodles + fried fish + seasonal vegetable salad, and quality is reflected everywhere. Their home really brings the comfort and romance of couples' vacation to a new height, and the privacy is far more than that of downtown hotels. I will definitely visit it twice!

Thanks to the staff of the courtyard for their careful arrangement before the Chinese New Year. We brought the elderly and children into the courtyard and had a perfect experience of celebrating the Chinese New Year with big red lanterns hanging high! The indoor temperature is very warm, and the hot spring scenery in the courtyard attic is unique! The overall experience is very good, and it is a courtyard worth experiencing!
