Qingting Hotel (Peking University Hospital Beihai North Subway Station)

The hotel is near the Behaibei metro station, so it's not hard to walk there. But it's hidden in a rather crowded area like Beijing's poor people, like a small alley. Walking at night is a bit scary, but nothing special. Maybe because it's near a tourist attraction called Qianha, so there are a lot of people walking by. The hotel staff are 24 hours a day, very cute, ready to help with everything. They can communicate a little in English. The room is compact, with a private bathroom, a soft bed and thick blanket. There is an air conditioner that can be adjusted. There are hair dryers, towels, a set of combs, toothbrushes, and toothpaste. Liquid soap, shampoo, and tissues are provided. There are 2 bottles of water on the first day. There is Wi-Fi. You can open the room door using a key card, but it's not very safe if you don't trust the staff. Because the staff can easily create an additional key card (we saw it when we asked for the second key card for our room). It may look clean from the photos, but in reality, it smells terrible. There is mold and a bad smell from the drain. I asked to change the room, but it was no different. There is also the smell of cigarettes from the Chinese people living in that area. It's quite difficult to live here. The best thing about this accommodation is probably the very good service staff and the location near the subway.

The main advantage is the metro nearby. Many attractions are within walking distance. Quite a comfortable room without frills, to spend the night inexpensively between runs around Beijing, just right. In the evening, the promenade along the lakes with a bunch of eateries is also a plus.

Advantages: ① 5-6 minutes walk from Prince Gong's Mansion subway station ② 6-7 minutes walk from Prince Gong's Mansion entrance ③ 6-7 minutes walk from Shichahai Disadvantages: ① No elevator, you have to carry your luggage upstairs ② The environment and facilities are very average, the towels are torn, and the water flow is small.

This room has a good view and windows for ventilation. There are many delicious noodle restaurants nearby and it is 5 minutes away from Prince Gong's Mansion. It is also close to the subway entrance.

The room is not soundproof and I dare not speak loudly. It is too close to the front desk. It is a renovation of a residential building. The bathroom floor drain is too high and does not drain water. When you take a shower, the bathroom is like raising fish. When you walk, the whole room is full of water. The slippers are soaked in water. The shampoo in the bathroom is empty. I reported it to the front desk but they did not refill it. The room cannot be refunded after booking. You have to pay extra for more people. The front desk stares at people like thieves. They knocked on the door again and again to ask when the people you are traveling with will leave. They also called the police. I had high expectations, but it turned out to be a rubbish stay.

It is close to Houhai Lake, which makes it very convenient to go there, especially to the bar. You can also take a walk in Houhai Lake when you get up in the morning. It is a relatively cost-effective place nearby and is highly recommended.
