Beijing Tangfu Nanluoguxiang Wang Fu Jing Forbidden City Snack Street Hotel

This is a great hotel in a lovely pedestrianised street. Lots of restaurants, coffee shops and bars to choose from. Very friendly staff with some speaking good English. It’s close to several underground stations and very conveniently located for all the major tourist sites. Entry is through a small Arcade with Starbucks Coffee shop being opposite. Highly recommend.

The dedication of the staff at Tangfu Hotel is truly top-notch. A prime example was when 小胡 (Xiao Hu) promptly met us at the main road where our chauffeur dropped us off, graciously assisting with our luggage. This level of attentiveness set the tone for our entire stay. The entire team is incredibly friendly and helpful, always available 24/7 to assist with any request. This unwavering commitment to guest satisfaction is undoubtedly one of the hotel's strongest assets, making our stay incredibly comfortable and well-cared for. My brother and I particularly enjoyed the cozy lobby, you may check on the photos I took, we often relaxed with coffee and snacks, frequently engaging in pleasant conversations with the staff. Beyond the superb service, the Tangfu Hotel boasts a truly fantastic location. Despite being situated on a bustling Hutong walking street where you can easily find any local street foods, authentic Beijing food and souvenir, the hotel's interior remains remarkably quiet, providing a peaceful sanctuary after a day of exploring Beijing's vibrant streets. Its close proximity to LRT stations and several major tourist attractions makes sightseeing incredibly convenient. Furthermore, hailing a taxi or a Didi is effortless, with the main road just a minute's walk away. Tangfu Hotel provides all the essential facilities one could possibly need for a hassle-free and enjoyable stay. Amenities such as water heaters, hair dryers, water dispensers, and even laundry service are readily available. Every detail seems to have been carefully considered to ensure maximum comfort for guests. The only minor drawback we encountered was an occasional, infrequent smell from the bathroom drainage. While this was a minor issue and did not significantly detract from our experience, it is something for future guests to be aware of. For anyone planning a trip to Beijing, the Tangfu Hotel should undoubtedly be at the very top of your accommodation list. It offers the perfect blend of exceptional service, a prime location that balances accessibility with tranquility, and all the necessary amenities for a truly memorable visit. Despite a small plumbing issue, the overall experience was overwhelmingly positive, and I will absolutely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Beijing.

A beautiful hotel located in the Nanluoguxiang Hutong area. The nearest MRT station is about 600 meters away, making it convenient for getting around. There are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby, and there’s even a Starbucks right next to the hotel. The room was spacious and clean, with complimentary tea, coffee, and snacks available at the front desk. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Tip: If you’re traveling with large luggage, it’s better to take a DiDi, as the car entrance is closer to the hotel.

I have to tell everyone, that the girl named Ava from the reception of this hotel, is brilliant and very helpfull in helping us, with a big smile!! My wife left her phone in the snack street, and Ava try very hard by helping us getting back that phone, eventhough we checked out very early for go back to Holland. She arrange in the very early morning,that the phone comes back to us in Holland by sending it by a courier. We really don't know how to manage that in China, because of the problems with language. Because of this, Ava gets more than 5 stars from us!

Very kind and indeed exemplary staff who clearly have a good team spirit and working atmosphere among them, which is vital for good customer service of this high standard. The staff helped us immensely with various organisationsl issues we encountered as foreigners - with the taxi ordering procedure, in particular. The room was very comfortable and amazingly quiet- despite the very noisy outside world! There’s some lovely Chinese street food available on the pedestrian street where the hotel is located, and there’s a convenient Starbucks opposite for breakfast. Some of the staff speak good English, too. The nearest underground station is very close. We’d happily come back again.

Had to put in an unexpected night in Beijing caused by a rainstorm and I’m glad it went like that and I got to stay here and see this little pocket of Beijing. The area is very vibrant with lots of shops and restaurants as well as not far from Lama Temple. But what I liked the most was the great hotel I picked! The people were beyond friendly and helpful and always in a good mood. The room was very clean and had lots of amenities. Even a projector for movie time! And it was spacious as they gave me a last minute upgrade and I slept so well! Maybe my best sleep in a hotel I ever had! Sad I have to leave already! See you next time :)
