The hotel was very nice. The facilities were a bit outdated but it was still very quaint and very close to all the interesting places to see. While there was a bit of humidity in the room, it was still comfortable. The service was excellent. All the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The aunties were also very kind and friendly. We will come again next time we’re in Beijing.

The hotel is easy to access, with spacious and standard rooms. There is nothing particularly special about this hotel, but it’s a good option for a business trip due to its convenient location. Thankyou

Room that I was initially put in was really smoky and the carpet was old and dusty. They moved me into another room that smelled like a hospital filled with antiseptics.
Said I’m happy to book a hotel nearby, free upgrade to a suite. The suite is spacious but really inconvenient, no outlet near bed, shower was tiny. I was only staying one night so it was fine. Definitely not going to go back.
Staff was friendly and helpful but I would caution booking a room if you are wanting anything but location.

There was smell the minute we entered the lobby and the room. It will take 10-15mins to access the subway, so I don’t think it’s very convenient. As a result, we took Taxi often, however the hotel is located close to Tiananmen Square, so it was very difficult to get a Taxi to return to the hotel due to traffic controls. We didn’t get any free room upgrades (many reviews mentioned that there were free upgrades though) and the upgrading fee proposed by the hotel is twice the difference of the two type of rooms if we had initially booked through Trip, so we didn’t proceed with upgrading with the hotel. Other than the above, the staff are very friendly and you get unlimited bottle of spring water. Next time when we visit Beijing, we will choose a different hotel.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Capital Hotel while visiting Beijing. Excellent location, and many popular areas are within walking distance. Checking in was very pleasant, the doorman assisted us with our luggage and the front desk quickly checked us in. The room was spectacular, very clean, elegant, and the beds were very comfotable. The breakfast every morning was incredible - lots of variety and everything was delicious in addition to the between view into the adjoining inner garden. The style of the hotel was also very intricate - full of the ornate walkways found in the palaces of past Emperors. Will definitely stay at again and strongly recommend to others.

When you enter the hotel, you see a beautiful lobby and reception. You are delighted with the decor of the restaurant and shops. However, when you get to the room, the charm is gone. You see dirty walls, dirty carpet, poor decor from years ago. We booked a room that was supposed to be shaded, the so-called sunshade room. We thought we would get one that was on the north side and would not be directly exposed to the sun, but it turned out that we got a room with a view of the wall from the tennis court. No matter how you look at it, it was shaded as in the description :-( . The hotel service was good, breakfasts with a large selection of dishes and tasty. Clean bathrooms. Bed linen and towels changed every day. The swimming pool in the hotel is small, without additional attractions, you have to buy a hair cap if you do not have your own, because you are not allowed to swim without a cap. There are several restaurants in the hotel, but I do not recommend the Japanese one, because I think you can only eat sushi there. After reading the menu, we left. On the other hand, the Bavarian restaurant serves delicious food and drinks.

We stayed for couple nights, unfortunately the air in the room had some smell, they provided a filter but the hallway was full of that smoke smell!

This property exceeded our expectations. It is in the more traditional side of Beijing but the location is accessible to many tourist attractions. Would definitely recommend
