Pod Inn Hotel (Gulou Avenue Andeli North Street Subway Station)

It's more like an illegal building than a hotel. It was a self-built board house. The bedding was stained, there were cockroaches in the toilet, the room was stuffy, and the soundproofing was poor. We arrived at the hotel very late, so we barely made it for one night.

I read some reviews about the hotel when booking the room, but the actual accommodation experience was obviously very different. Stayed here for 5 nights. The room layout is barely acceptable because the room price is still cheap. However, the corridor is a bit bumpy due to the floor heating. The sound insulation of the room is very poor. You can hear clearly any talking or walking in the next room or on the corridor outside the room. The worst thing is that black mold can be clearly seen on the walls and the bottom edge of the waterproof curtain in the bathroom. There is also a crack on the left side of the toilet where the toilet lid is locked, which keeps oozing yellow stains similar to urine stains. Occasionally, you can see a few ants wandering around the floor and bed. The above personal experience is for reference for those who want to find accommodation in Beijing.

I went to Beijing with my friends on New Year's Day. I booked the hotel right away after seeing the good pictures online. I was not disappointed. The room was very clean and cleaned every day. The hotel is very close to the subway station and right next to it. It is also very close to Houhai. The front desk clerk was very considerate and recommended us where to have fun and eat in Beijing. He also taught us how to make reservations for attractions. It was really warm. It was a very pleasant stay. I will recommend it to my classmates to stay here next time they travel to Beijing.

I have been staying here for several days. The hotel is close to the park and Houhai Lake. It is very comfortable to go out for a walk in the evening. The air conditioning is very powerful, and the room facilities, including hair dryers, are very new and complete. I am very satisfied. I didn't know how to adjust the TV, so I told the front desk and she came over to help me adjust it. The cleaning lady will knock on the door in the afternoon to ask if you want to stay and clean. The service is just right and the environment is simple and comfortable. I am very satisfied.
