This hotel is very clean and well Managed. I had no issues from beginning to end. The only thing was room service did not bring cutlery with my meal. But everything els was 1000%. Great Hotel! Will certainly be back. The only complaint I have is with the details of my package. This was very misleading and not accurate at all. This amazing package was actually just club access and had no special value.

Everything looks magic and brings us in an old Chinese movie around here. The simple and probably old renovation of the hotel respects this particularity, offering a correct comfort. The isolation is not optimum but I would not expect more from any other place in the town. We asked for the hotel restaurants and they gave us a coupon for one out (we’ve been there, it was really nice). The choice of breakfast (between western and Chinese) is great. Pickup service is perfect, very fast and convenient!!! The staff, especially Bae, is very nice and helpful. Our train was cancelled and they immediately took care of us, giving a new room (a suite, very beautiful and comfortable).

The hotel is well located. Near the Wangfujing boulevard and the Tian’anmen square. Bus 111 stops right across from the hotel and it takes you to Jingshan park to have a bird’s eye view of the Forbidden City. The hotel breakfast was OK for Chinese standards, though it lacked cheese and ham variety. The room was spacious enough and although the bathroom needs some repairs it is well cleaned. Room service was efficient and the food wasn’t bad at all! -although westerners without Chinese language skills might struggle a bit to order food by phone. Staff is attentive, polite and friendly. Overall, we liked this hotel and our Beijing visit.

We chose Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing for our last night in Beijing. As soon as we entered the hotel, we felt the warm reception of the staff. They accompanied us to the room, introduced us to the hotel's facilities and gave us some gifts, which made me feel In the strong Spring Festival atmosphere, we tasted fruits and desserts and then went to the restaurant to enjoy the set meal provided by the hotel. It was by no means a perfunctory free snack, but a full table. The taste was also very delicious. My husband and I came here in the evening The long-awaited bar was also very delicious. Later we had a great time and ordered several special cocktails. Every service staff here was full of enthusiasm. Finally, special thanks to Alex, Nana and Lenny. The warm reception and the souvenirs given to us were really attentive. In the future, I will still choose Mandarin Oriental as my first choice. The breakfast is rich, including Chaos noodles pancakes and buffet. The most important thing is that it is very clean. There are armed police and special police on duty 24 hours at the door, and thieves have to go around. Walking around, the facilities are average, and the TV has snowflakes, but these are not important. When I come to Beijing, I just walk around during the day and sleep at night. I will stay here again next time I come to Beijing.

First, I would say the location is wonderful.It's only fifteen mins of walking to the Forbidden City. However, I might not choose this hotel.The worst Manxin I had stayed. U can find other cheap hotels nearby. While I was checked in, the frontdesk asked me for paying upgrade. After I refused, he became impatient.He even didn't tell me hotel facilities. In hotel, You can smell smoke in hotel corridor.And I found a cigarette butt on lifting lobby. That means the hotel don't have a well management. The last thing I would like to complain is efficiency. My booking didn't include meal.Sometimes I ordered food delivery myself. The delivery didn't pass to me after it had been arrived 20 mins. I called to frontdesk. They just said they were busy at that moment. Would give it to me later. About 15 mins waiting, I decided to take the delivery myself. They put it on a easy take way, and didn't check wtih my room number or my identity.That means others can take my delivery easily.These happened three times. Because of this bad experience, I cannot trust Manxin anymore.

The room is very clean. I was not sure after reading the bad reviews before, but now I feel it is very good. There is breakfast and a washer and dryer, which is very convenient. It's also close to the subway station, and you can store your luggage for free. I didn't notice it before, but there is a small alley next to it, which has the kind of old Beijing breakfast. Unfortunately, I didn't find it until I checked out. Didn't go shopping. Next to it is the Capital Theater. Due to time constraints, I didn't have time to arrange a show, which was a pity. It is very close to the back gate of the Forbidden City and Jingshan Park. We actually walked back after visiting the Forbidden City. We were in great physical condition. Most people can't do it.

Stay away! The saving grace came from Trip.com which enabled me to terminate our booking without penalty. Awful garbage smell in the room. We checked in at 1am due to late flight arrival. Upon entering the room we we’re concerned about a strange smell in the room. We thought it would go away so we just opened the window. It was late we decided we would ignore the smell but by 6.30 am we couldn’t ignore the foul smell anymore. So we wrote to trip.com to terminate our booking. By 9am we’re ready to check out. At the checkout counter the staff was gracious and friendly and she said our booking was terminated at our request. Just too many faults with this hotel room. Chair needs to be replaced. It easily toppled backwards. Toilet door can’t completely closed. Not sufficient electrical outlets to plug your devices. Curtains are dirty. No hooks in toilet. Only positive staff was friendly.
