This place is excellent value for money when staying in Basel. Literally 5 mins from the main train station and you receive a Basel card for free transportation into the city when staying here, although we enjoyed the walk which was about 30 minutes. Although basic, the room, 2 bed apartment, was comfy, maybe just lacking a spa space to relax like a couple of small armchairs in living area, but as said for the money it was great. The balcony was a lovely little spot to sit which we would have used a lot more in warmer weather. Staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast was simple and limited but all you need to start the day and excellent value for what you pay. Would recommend this hotel and will stay again if in Basel.

Was only here for one night. Nothing to complain about, good beds and facilities. The beds in my 8 bed dorm were put up in a way that I had a lot of privacy. Bathroom was not in the room but that didn't bother me since the shower cabin was big. Staff was really nice and helpfull.

The place is really clean, safe, the location is great, within walking distance from the city center, near a nice quiet park and in a very pretty neighbourhood. The comon area is also very nice, they have a well equiped kitchen and the toilets / showers were always very clean. And it has very helpful staff

I've been using Hyve for accommodation in Basel for over ten years now. It's a great place to stay: friendly staff, excellent facilities and location. Apparently people who stay here full time are known as 'Hyvers'. I probably now qualify as a 'Semi Hyver!'

Excellent location, few minutes walk from the station in straight line. Cleanliness at top standards! Tasty coffee. Friendly stuff. If you look for a stay in Basel, this is the place where you wanna go. Outstanding experience!
