Very bad experience. We booked for the carnival in the autumn to make sure we had accommodation and tickets. The booking was with right of cancellation up to a week before, about 3 February. In January they started messaging me on Booking and whatsapp (the writer was two people who didn't communicate with each other, so I had to update both chats), threatening me that if I didn't pay the full amount within a few days they would cancel my booking. After much pressure we decided, reluctantly, to pay. After a week they set up a group chat on whatsapp (no one gave them permission), storming us with messages with the carnival programme and saying there were tickets for the hotel. When we arrived the lady at the reception desk told us that the tickets were gone, upon our remonstrances, she started to respond in a very rude and arrogant manner. She verbally attacked us that we had to buy the tickets first and that it was not their problem at this point. After that we went to the carnival and they tried to rob us immediately, tired of everything, we went back to the hotel (we hadn't even taken the room yet), we asked to leave and to get a refund since we had paid in advance despite the fact that the Booking rules clearly stated that we could cancel. Of course they didn't give us any refund. Very bad service.
