DoubleTree by Hilton Baoding

So close, so beautiful – a weekend trip to Hebei! This was my first time driving to Baoding for a weekend getaway. After a long search, this DoubleTree by Hilton seemed like one of the best hotels in the area, so I booked their train-themed family room and an executive king room for a day trip with my whole family, including the elderly and children! The train-themed family room is incredibly charming and perfect for kids. It's fully customized with toys from Hape, the renowned top-tier children's toy brand, featuring Hape trains and tracks. They even provide custom pillows, pajamas, and baby toiletries – they really put a lot of thought into it! My baby played non-stop. This morning, he woke up, immediately got out of bed, and ran over to play with the trains, scattering them all over the floor. My apologies to the housekeeping staff! 😁 The three duty managers, Luna, Kelly, and Jenny, were incredibly enthusiastic, responsible, and professional. They gave us freshly baked chocolate chip cookies during both check-in and check-out, which were absolutely delicious!!! And they provided assistance to us throughout our entire stay! The executive lounge is also excellent, with a Happy Hour in the evening offering drinks and snacks. The ambiance is fantastic, and the service staff are very professional. In short, although Baoding is a relatively small city, it's definitely worth a visit, and this DoubleTree by Hilton is absolutely worth experiencing!

I requested a high floor when booking, and they kindly assigned me a room on the 20th floor, away from the elevators, which was a thoughtful touch. The floor was kept very clean. Noticing we consumed a lot of water, they proactively provided extra bottles for the remaining two days. Ms. Yang, the manager at the restaurant, saw we had a child and spontaneously offered a bib and a small gift. Her service was proactive and enthusiastic, and our child was very happy.

The rooms were meticulously cleaned, not a speck of dust anywhere, and the bathroom was spotless and fresh. The hotel facilities are excellent, with a 24-hour gym and a heated pool available at all times. Staff members like Jenny, KIKI, and MAX were incredibly kind, attentive, and quick to respond to any requests. The hotel's location is superb; it's within walking distance to Wanda Plaza and Baoding Museum, and a short drive to the Zhili Governor's Office and the Ancient Animal Museum. Being right next to Future Stone Wanda Plaza, and conveniently close to the high-speed rail and expressway, makes it perfect for both sightseeing and travel. Definitely my top choice for accommodation!

Traveling with a child, we stopped by Baoding and chose the Hilton Baoding HAPE Train Room with two double beds – and it was a great experience! The entire room had a train theme with toys, and my child didn't want to leave. The bedding was comfortable, there was plenty of hot water, and the dimmable glass was super convenient. The hotel's location is excellent, close to the train station and Wanda Plaza. The breakfast was delicious, and they even gave us cookies. Drawbacks: 1. Although the room had a window, it was quite small, so the natural light wasn't great. 2. The double-bed room was a bit large, which wasn't ideal for my child to play with the train.

Location: Great location, close to Wanda Plaza, making dining and shopping very convenient. It's a bit further from the attractions in the old town. Service: Overall service was pretty good. After checking in, they gave us freshly baked cookies 🍪 which were delicious 😋. The only downside was that the staff at the entrance didn't greet us or help with luggage or opening car doors. Facilities: The room size was decent, and the cleanliness was acceptable.

Great location and good value for money!

The hotel service was excellent! Jenny proactively followed up and arranged a very satisfactory room for us. Kiki at check-in also helped us book a restaurant. We had a great stay and will definitely come back again. A special thanks to Joe Zhou from the concierge for his excellent help with our luggage!

This family-friendly hotel is truly thoughtfully designed. The room was decorated with all sorts of little train-themed ornaments, and the kids were thrilled as soon as they walked in, having a wonderful time. The breakfast selection was rich and tasty, and the overall experience was very comfortable and enjoyable. It was satisfying for both parent-child interaction and family relaxation.

This is arguably the most upscale hotel in Baoding. It shares a building with other hotels like Atour. Across the street is Hebei University, and there's ample parking, including an underground garage. It's very close to the highway exit and also very near Anjia Donkey Meat Restaurant – you can easily walk there. The hotel's service, cleanliness, and dining are all five-star quality. Highly recommended.
