Upon arrival at the hotel we arrived around 10pm which was quite late check in was easy enough however the receptionist seemed to like she didn’t want to do any work!!! However cause we paid for half board she offered us some sandwiches to be brought up to the room which was nice we were on the 3rd floor and there is 1 lift which isn’t exactly the quickest the floor motion lights take a while to turn on and the corridor feels like ur in a ******* hotel!!! First impressions of the room was spacious double bed sofa wardrobe with sliding door and a good size bathroom however the bathroom is on a slope!!! There is a small fridge but there isn’t a plug socket where the fridge is so we moved the fridge to use the plug socket there is tea/coffee maker but no milk and it’s only green tea the bedroom was really warm because the heater was on unfortunately it wasn’t exactly freezing temperatures here so we turned the heater off and open the doors and window to keep the room cooler at night as it was quite stuffy there wasn’t a safe which would’ve been handy they were hangers but only a few There is complimentary water, which was nice considering we arrive quite late at night Breakfast is hit n miss the first day we have breakfast, which was on the Saturday morning of the 25th Jan breakfast they seem to be a lot of choices pastries hot and cold plenty of bread meats and cheeses and salads however the next time we have breakfast it seemed less limited and I had to keep asking the staff for more bread which they took their time to take out the staff do work hard and u can see that but they are so rude!! The fried eggs are Rock solid and the hot food isn’t that great if ur a tea drinker bring ur own tea bags!! I don’t think wiping the tables with a dust pan and brush is very hygienic!!! dinner in the evening was okay your usual buffet normally got cold by the time you sat down but the deserts was probably the best it does get busy at dinner starts at 7pm kids running around and pushing in really doesn’t abode with me so maybe go down to dinner abit later The bed is very hard and we couldn’t sleep very well. The shower is hit Miss one day is scolding hot water and then cold the shower curtain is terrible and let’s water out and goes onto the floor but does go into the drain so I think it depends what time of day you have a shower. They have got a lovely tribal amenities kit which has got your usual shampoo moisturiser vanity kit shower cap which was a lovely touch. The hotel is literally central of Bankso and only about a five minute walk to the gondola which is handy, especially when you carrying your ski equipment The hotel can arrange your ski passes (added a pic of the prices of the ski passes) and Next Door there is also a storage place where you can leave ur ski stuff for free as you’re staying at the hotel We didn’t do the ski pass however we just did the gondola pass which takes you up to the right to the top of the ski road that cost 50 BGN each a

Great hotel in a good location - five minute walk to lifts and close to bars and restaurants in the evening. Rooms were basic / no frills but comfortable. Food was amazing and the chef doing eggs at breakfast was a winner for me. Liked that breakfast started at 7, so you still had time to change into ski gear and get on an early lift. Staff friendly. What stands out of this hotel, is the spa facilities - pool area is warm and inviting, perfect place to relax. Spa services were fabulous and reasonably priced. Bar and public areas nice, too. Ski storage and ski hire on site. Reception extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.

We recently stayed at Casa Karina in a 2-bedroom apartment, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The location of the hotel is excellent – very convenient and close to the Gondola/cable car, which made exploring the area incredibly easy. The apartment was spacious and functional, offering plenty of room for our family to relax comfortably. The highlight of our stay was the exceptional service we received from the restaurant manager, Aneta. She went above and beyond to accommodate our dietary preferences, personally arranging special vegetarian meals for us. Her thoughtful efforts made our stay feel truly personalized and memorable. We’d also like to extend our gratitude to Mexmea, one of the restaurant staff members, for his wonderful service. However, we did notice that housekeeping services could be improved to better meet guests' expectations. Additionally, the hotel would benefit from some updates to give it a more modern and refreshed look. A little uplift would go a long way in enhancing the overall guest experience. With a few improvements, Casa Karina has the potential to be an even better choice for travelers.

Me and my mother stayed here for my 16th birthday. It was a 4 day stay and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The service quality was great, we had no issues with impoliteness or unprofessionalism and they answered all our queries with no problems. We ventured into the town of Bansko, and the hotel is located in a very good spot. You can find shops within a small walking distance and the locals gave us no trouble at all. It is nearby a trail up the mountain, or rather the gondola experience, however it was closed at the time we visited. The town is beautiful and we got so many lovely pictures. The food was alright, there is plenty of options however it can get a little boring the longer you are there. But there were different foods every night and it is traditional food to the area. The room was clean and comfortable, we had a small balcony terrace that fitted our needs perfectly. There are plug sockets located all over the room and we had no trouble with that. The bathroom was a decent size and it offered complimentary shampoo, soap and body wash. Again, no troubles with cleanliness. The hotel offered a good spa that we also used, the pool was clean and not at all an uncomfortable temperature, and the sauna and steam room were very enjoyable. Overall we had an amazing time and I would highly recommend this hotel to anybody looking for an affordable comfortable stay.

To start the hotel is good for the money and located within 5 minute walk of the gondola. The main street is v close so easy access to everything and the old town isn't too far (10min walk). Bansko has loads of places to eat drink and be merry. Plus plethora of supermarkets etc. The restaurant is nice with plenty of space and everything is modern and clean. The staff are a bit hit and miss. Some are friendly and helpful some less so which does make some interactions uncomfortable. If you book direct with the hotel and/or use thier ski equipment and thier ski passes it seems you get a better service than if you go through 3rd party operators. We stayed as a family with 2 young children and our first night the room was awful. Thankfully the manager resolved our issues and moved us to another room the next morning which we couldn't fault. The hotel web site stats fully equipped kitchen but that's not our experience. There is a kettles with cups and a hob/oven depending on your room. However with no cutlery, crockery, pots pans trays or anything at all to prepare or eat food on the kitchen is a bit of an ornament! Meals are buffet style and tasty however for little kids it's a bit fussy so we did struggle with all meals and as a result ate out more than we had wanted. Although room service food (which is extra £) was great. Burgers, chips, spaghetti etc. Drinks not included and as expected is v expensive. They don't like serving tap water as it's free but you do get 2-4 small bottles of water provided daily in the room. The pool and spa could do with a clean and the pool water by the end of the week the chlorine was so high you could feel it when you walked into the pool area. This could be easily rectified by more frequent changes of the water or water chemical maintenance. It was half term so use was heavy.

The hotel has changed its standard of food. In previous years I would have rated it 9/10 maybe even 10/10. Now I rate it 2/10 May be 3/10. Options are now limited and basic. Previously there was much more variety, which changed every day. There were weekly specials, now off the menu. Soup is only room temperature not hot. Food is room temperature not hot. I did bring this to the notice of the staff and the following evening all soup and food was hot, and for the following evenings the food temperature reverted back to ambient temperature. The lights in my rooms had old fashioned low energy bulbs, so it was dull. I asked for a beside lamp to add some brightness to the bedroom as there was only one light fitting. The bedside lamp arrived with another old fashioned low energy bulb.
