Suvarnabhumi Airport Bangkok|2.12km from Ramkhamhaeng University
Bad location, nowhere near a train station so we had to get taxis everywhere which all added up when we on a tight budget. Once we were out we had to stay out, so we couldn’t go back for a shower or to freshen up after a day out before going for dinner like we usually do. Don’t think this hotel is accommodating for Westerners. Only one person spoke English and of course she can’t be on reception 24/7. There’s a restaurant but wasn’t suitable for us. From our experience there was a LOT of Chinese, with about 10 coaches arriving during our week here (that we saw) and we didn’t see any other Westerners in the hotel during our stay. There was a wake up call at 6.30am, which we asked to turn off for the remaining of our stay. In the mornings at this time the guests on our floor would be VERY loud, shouting and laughing whilst we were trying to sleep, there was probably only one morning where we didn’t wake up to noise. Hotel was very nice and clean. Upon our arrival we had a young man help us with our bags and take us to our room. Reception and the outside look really nice, just like their pictures. Swimming pool is located across the road with a small gym. We didn’t use the pool as it was raining but we noticed there were limited beds/seats. Clean towels and free water provided, nice little balcony, fridge and TV and toiletries. The shower door wouldn’t shut properly but it’s a big shower so luckily the bathroom didn’t get too soaked and slippery. Big bed and a spacious room. No food is allowed in your rooms, so if you order you have to eat outside or in reception, where there were plenty of comfy sofas. Bit random and not related to the hotel, but we were opposite the football pitch where one night there was a game at 4am, which was quite loud, but most nights games would finish around midnight. Also, the lights were left on and one of the window had no blind, so the bright light was coming through. Personally, we wouldn’t stay here again.

Pros: * Overall: A new, clean & spacious Hotel even though only 3.5 stars. * Price: Affordable room price which is inclusive of breakfast & WiFi. * Staff: Friendly, helpful & prompt. * Room: Spacious with kitchenette, sofa, working desk, dressing/make-up area & bathtub. * Additional Merits: Lift is customized for wheelchair (one of the rare initiative by small hotels). * Instagramble Hotel (though we didn't take much photos because not our priority). Cons: * Location: Nothing along the street except a coffee house which is a walking distance too (along the main road). * Breakfast: Yummy traditional Thai and Western cuisine, but everyday is same food, We stayed for 5 nights so by the 3rd day we started to get bored of the same food. * Swimming Pool: size of a Jacuzzi tub and too exposed (on the street). * Convenience Store: should make use of the empty store space (beside the swimming pool) to open a convenience store for Hotel Guests. * Hotel Signage at main road: As per attached photo, there is a lighted Hotel signage along the main road during the evening hours. However, when we returned back to Hotel late at night, the light was switched off and thus Drivers had difficulty to find it in the dark. Suggest to on the power till dawn. * Soundproofing: Needs improvement as able to hear the noise at corridor. * WORST CON: We would give a 5 star rating to Onyx Hotel if not for this issue - No peace enjoyment at times, especially when the tour group are out/back from activities. Morning we are awaken by loud conversations, even to the extend of shouting & screaming. Night is even worse - guests gather at the level 4 common area to chit chat till late and one guest even took a chair to sit at the corridor & blast loud music on HP. Sincerely hope the Management can improve on this area. OVERALL: Will stay there again if going to RCA area everyday.

I had arrived here on the the 08th of February, and ended up staying for just over three weeks. Excellent value for money, large rooms, plenty of fresh towels and complimentary two bottles of water every day after the room has been refreshed. The rooms appear pretty fresh and reasonably well maintained. The lobby is rather busy, and could perhaps need a bit of care - but all is clean and pretty tidy most of the time. Buses do park in the parking area across from the hotel and you can hear this from 6am onward as the drivers start up to get people moving and on the road again. ( also not the hotel's fault) The hotel is very conveniently located near a chain grocery stores, several street side food vendors, low key shopping, fast food joints, movie theaters , a few minutes walk away from the river boat transfers, almost 1.5km away from the university athletics track ( open at 5AM every morning) several buses passing in the main road, and about 2 to 3km away from the Ramkhamaeng MTR station ( that goes to Suvarnabum airport) and back. 20 Baht will get you on a bus from the hotel to the nearest train station stop.. LOTS AND LOTS OF ROADWORK at this point in time ( not the hotel's fault) so traffic does flow slower than usual. English is spoken but with great gaps of understanding for anything beyond the hotel field of reference Breakfast is served on site at a cost of 120Baht from 06h30 to about 10am With a varied menu every day of the week, rice with a variety of pork free Oriental preferences and then the standard continental fare ( cereal, coffee, tea, juice and toast) Lunch and dinner is also served, and done so off menu. note: THIS IS A HALAAL HOTEL( and restaurant) , do NOT expect bacon / pork / alcohol on site, also not recommended to bring any related items into the hotel. No laundry AT the hotel, but there is a mini launderette ( about 10 meters off the hotel grounds 2x 10 Baht coins will get a load of 5kgs done in about an hour) Buy your own cleaning stuff at the shopping center across the road. The hotel does qualify as a 3star hotel by western standards, but I would personally define it as an ASIAN STYLE hotel. ( meaning the floor phone would ring from 06h30 for the cleaning crew that is on duty..) Wires that you would never see in an Western hotel, has been discreetly added and painted over in your own room, or elsewhere in the hotel. Things are done from a Thai perspective - which makes daily maintenance and upkeep easier. Think function over form. note - no carpets in the room, only synthetic flooring. your room will have a bar fridge and a kettle no iron in the rooms no ironing board either (not sure if the hotel will be able to provide this on request.. as I had bought my own.) every room has its own wifi ( codes in the room ) the hotel does offer room service ( not sure if there is any additional charges as I never used the service) The room does have a fla

I chose to live here for the Bangkok Marathon, very close to the starting point of the stadium. It feels relatively quiet and the service is very enthusiastic.

Overall, a very good hotel, clean and tidy, the executive room with a big bathtub of internet celebrity is on the fourth floor. but! The sound insulation of the room is extremely poor, and the sound of turning on and off the light in the next room can be heard clearly. . . It's okay if you encounter a quiet guest, and if you encounter noisy guests, you really don't let you sleep all night, so I want to call the front desk to complain. It is worth adding points that there is a Jack&Chef restaurant downstairs in the hotel. The taste is excellent and the presentation is also very good. I highly recommend it!

The hotel is next to the road and has parking, very convenient for traveling anywhere. At that time there was an exam. Ramkhamhaeng University, so I decided to sleep here. It's very convenient. In front of the alley, there's Max Value where you can walk around and buy food all night. The room is spacious, just a little bit old. The air conditioner is very cold. There are mosquitoes in the room, but please inform the reception. The elders came to organize it very well.

B Stay Hotel

61,832 Reader's I have 61,832 readers on TripAdvisor and I have traveled very extensively around the world. I fell in Love with Bangkok, and with B Stay Hotel. I am not one to blow money on overpriced hotels and what I found with B Stay Hotel was quite the opposite. The B Stay Hotel is a 3.5 star hotel and is Brand New. I found that the location for this hotel was extremely good. Nearby is a transportation system with boats going down a canal which is called a Khlong in Thai. This canal connected me with the rest of Bangkok and other public transportation modes. Bangkok has the MRT Subway and the BTS SkyTrain which are wonderful means of transportation around Bangkok. The MRT Subway is currently under construction on the main road which the hotel is located just off of. Also near The Mall Bangkapi is the SkyTrain system which is also currently under construction. The location of the hotel puts it only about 1 mile from the Airport Link going to Thailand's main airport Suvarnabhumi. Nearby is The Mall Bangkapi which is one of my favorite malls I've ever been in. I ended up traveling to The Mall Bangkapi several times by using the Khlong Saen Saep and it only cost me around 33 cents per boat ride. Riding on the boat was a bit challenging in the beginning but I quickly learned where I was going and how to use it. Now about the hotel and its amenities. I have included many photographs I took from the area around the B Stay Hotel. The pricing of the rooms in the hotel are very reasonable and mine also included breakfast. Rooms in the hotel are generous and also clean. The staff is very friendly and was always willing to assist me. Outside of the hotel there was pretty much always taxis available which are normally good and very affordable transportation. The hotel does not control the taxi so as in any other city you should be aware of where you are going, the approximate distance, and cost. But the pricing for these taxi is more than reasonable actually fairly cheap. Here's a list of the local businesses that are right next to B Stay. There is Amazon Cafe which is a local coffee shop chain and it is directly part of the hotel. Across the street is a pharmacy and there is also a massage business which offers foot massage, oil massage, Aroma massage, and Thai Traditional massage. Personally I recommend the oil massage Aroma massage and foot massage. For me the Thai massage is too strong. There is also a Family Mart convenience store which is competition for 7-Eleven and is also on the hotel property. Other amenities are a fitness center and a Jacuzzi pool. They also have 12 hour overnight security every night. If you drive your own car and they have free-parking. I hope you find Bangkok and B Stay Hotel as nice as I did.
