Hotels Near Penida Island in Bali

It’s a holiday place, where you can spend three days leisurely. Rent a car for one day and travel around the island. The service attitude of the staff is very good, the breakfast is also good, and a fruit plate is provided! The room has an international TV and plenty of hot water! When you call a taxi at the pier, remember to bargain.

The seaside scenery is beautiful, and the beach is right outside the room. The breakfast is exquisite and delicious, and the location is also good. There are many diving shops nearby, and it is only a ten-minute drive from the pier. The staff is polite and hospitable, and they are always responsive. It is really suitable to lie down for a few days in this hotel and be in a daze. Highly recommended, you must book in advance. There are not many rooms, it seems that there are only more than 10 rooms, less than 14 or 15. I stayed in a suite on the second night. In fact, the suite has an extra bathtub, which is not necessary. The rest is exactly the same as other rooms. It was only because someone canceled the reservation late that I accidentally got the opportunity to book.

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 4 nights during our visit in Nusa Penida. We would recommend Coco Resort Penida everytime someone asked us about accommodation in Nusa Penida. We booked this with the attention to have something ”a little extra” and a little extra we absolutely got, the staff and the place itself were awesome during our visit!

My husband and I were in Maua for our short trip to Nusa Penida during our 2-week honeymoon in Bali, and we can both agree without hesitation that Maua was absolutely the best hotel we have ever stayed at, not just in this trip but ever, in terms of overall experience. Upon arrival, we were immediately stunned by how beautiful view from the hotel reception area was when we walked down the stairs from the parking lot. We started to appreciate the aesthetics of the hotel even more when the manager, Ka Ka told us about the difficulties of building this hotel from scratch, especially transporting the construction materials all the way from Bali to Nusa Penida through the small and bumpy roads on the island. And as you stay there longer and observe more, you can really tell that a lot of time, effort and thoughts have been put into the architecture, interior design and environment of the whole place. We must say, however, that all has been paid off because the execution was nothing less than perfect. Maua consists of a number of private villas which were built on a mountain slope. We stayed at Villa No. 323 at the most bottom with a private infinity pool overlooking the gorgeous Gamat Bay with a sunset view. Buggies would be arranged for sending us down and picking us up upon a quick phone call, even at 5 a.m. in the morning one day when we wanted to watch the sunrise. The breakfast was the most generous and sumptuous we had in Bali and the presentation and taste was on point. The free flow pastries were a nice touch, and the French toast was the best I have ever had. We also tried their restaurant for dinner on one night and were very satisfied with their Western options. Needless to say, and I am sure all the guests would agree, the hotel staff members were what made Maua extra special - you can just feel that everyone working there were genuinely enjoying their work and happy about their life there, and they care about the well-being of the guests from the bottom of their hearts and it really shows. To the whole Maua crew, especially our dear friends, Dinda, Ayu, and Kaka, we would like to give a big thank you to you all for making our stay so memorable and flawless. Thank you for showering us with surprised snacks, late night cakes, welcome and goodbye drinks (and even giving us the recipe for it without us asking) and your warming smiles. The lovely conversations we had and the laughter we shared will forever stay in our hearts. We are missing our stay at Maua so much after checking out and would definitely visit Nusa Penida again just so we can stay with Maua.

Everything was fine, the service staff was good in every way, but there is one issue. If you stay at this place, just understand that you can only stay in the hotel and can't go anywhere outside, like for sightseeing or renting a bike. The second thing is when you check out, a tax list will appear with charges for taxi tax, room service tax (even though you already pay a 20% tax when you order food, etc.), but they charge you again. No matter what you take, you'll see taxes everywhere. My bill was 4 million IDR, and you can assume that 1 million IDR was just taxes . Well, overall, the location is great, the hotel is nice and amazing, and the staff is good. I am giving this review about the taxes so that the owner can make some changes and others don't have to face the same issue.

This was the most expensive stay we booked for our months travel through Bali and the islands.I was so looking forward to the one night that we had booked there at $300 a night.We were early so waited in the restaurant area for 1.5 hours and had some lunch until the room was ready.The restaurant looks run down too and in desperate need of a repaint with stains and it just looked old and this place isnt that old.Staff were good.Beautiful views of Blue Lagoon and the food was OK.Into our room which was a Seaview cottage but you dont have a sea view at all.I stood on our couch on tippy toes and could just make out the sea in the background.The unit is fenced for privacy but you have no views at all except for bamboo fencing.You have a private pool which was cold and so over chlorinated that I had to shower after being in the pool because you stunk of chlorine.Room was nice but small and the bathroom was pretty too but the shells hanging around the shower were missing shells and had seen better days.Better to remove them than to have the broken strands hanging there,BEER....Big problem getting a cold beer.There must be no rotation of the beers being put into the fridge and 4 times we had to return beers that were hot(husband not happy about that).No breakfast for $300 a night and had to be purchased but was nice.I would not book here again but would recommend coming for lunch or dinner to soak up the view.That never got old and you could see turtles floating around in the bay.Underwhelming would be how I describe the Villas.Mini Mart up the road for supplies if you need them and cold beer

Our stay at Batu Karang has been absolutely divine. The hotel grounds and pools are impeccable and the rooms are very well appointed. I recommend booking a room with a private plunge pool if you have the option. We never needed to swim elsewhere having access to this refreshing and completely private oasis. The food at Muntigs and The Deck is lovely (very generous breakfasts). There are also many other dining options nearby (walking distance) and I believe had we been so inclined, we could have ordered delivery from a local Warung. Yes, room service option is nice when you can’t be bothered, but imagining the staff having to deal with the palaver of this based on the geography of the location, I can totally understand why this is not available. Getting to and from the rooms on the steep slope was never an issue for us (two middle-aged, not particularly fit people). The walk down is easy enough, and we never waited more than 2 minutes for a buggy ride back up to our room. We had two massages at Lulur spa and would have had more if not for spending a couple of days off-site exploring Lembongan. Staff were very helpful in arranging buggy hire on two occasions so we could head off to explore the island. Unfortunately, I do not have a great deal of photos to share as we were too busy enjoying our exquisite stay. We will be back!

The perfect escape one can dive into to detox from the hustle and bustle of city life! The owners were amazingly helpful especially in attending to my every need. They were a great help in sharing the various places of interest available for me to venture to. Their warm welcome was quite the highlight of my time spent on Nusa Lembongan. The villa itself was well kept and very strategically located. It us quite literally a stone's throw away from Dream Beach! And I have the option of taking a dip in the pool should the sea appear too daunting for a swim. Definitely going back soon!

Gorgeous, well-priced villa accommodation conveniently located near Dream Beach, Devil's Tears and Sunset point. A lot of great restaurants and day-spas within walking distance. Peaceful surrounds away from the peak season crowds and motorbikes. Lovely outdoor area with pool and restaurant. Perfect for taking a dip at the end of a hot day of island exploration. Awesome, large, air-conditioned rooms. Clean and comfy. Opens onto large balcony with comfortable seating. Large, semi-outdoor bathroom and shower with a lovely rustic-island feel. Hot water to boot! The staff are very helpful and friendly. It's so easy to book anything you need on the island (taxi service, rental bikes, day trips etc). Breakfast is modest but tasty. Loved my stay here! Would stay again and recommend for anyone staying on Lembongan.

We love this place for many reasons too numerous to state but here a a few highlights. The staff are a family who genuinely care about the quality of your stay and have an enormous amount of valuable local knowledge. The chalets are private well set out, clean and very comfortable. Showers are great too. The pool is my favourite in the whole if Bali and I've swam in many. Amazing sunsets. Lively property with good tasty food for a great price. Lastly they organised everything for our transfer and fast boat which went like clockwork. I would never stay anywhere else because I know I would be thinking if I did....why am I not staying at Cliff Park. Thank you.
