Absolutely not recommended!
The resort is located 1.5 km inland in the mountains, far from any civilization and can only be reached via a very steep access road. The complex is not yet finished, so there is neither a reception, nor a restaurant or a bar, let alone signs to find the resort. At the moment, more focus would be placed on the associated beach club, as the high season is about to start, that is what we were greeted with. Infrastructure within walking distance - none. There is no refrigerator in the room, which would be more than necessary in the remote location.
The hotel offers a shuttle to town, but this is only free for 2 km, so you are dropped off at a beach club advertised by the hotel. The word beach club is more than inappropriate here, as this is an unkempt stretch of beach with dirty and moldy loungers. We had ourselves driven to a 'real' beach club at our own expense, as it was more than uninviting here. When we took a taxi back to our accommodation in the evening, there was a huge ant trail in front of the patio door and an above-average-sized gecko had used the leaky roof for his business, which was immortalized on our top bed.
As there was no one in the hotel, we spoke to the security man, who hardly spoke any English. He showed us another room that was not prepared for guests - the top bed and pillows were wrapped in plastic foil. The hotel employee had given us his cell phone number when we arrived, but unfortunately he was not available. We therefore had to spend the night in the room we had booked and were relieved when the night was over. As there was no one to be seen anywhere except us and the security man, there was a lack of life in the resort and a feel-good atmosphere.
Unfortunately, we had booked for two nights, but left the complex after one night. We were then offered a "15-minute free sea walker" in the hotel's own beach club - whatever that was - if we stayed the second night.
Of course, that didn't keep us.
The breakfast we had booked was offered in the hotel's own beach club mentioned above, to which we were taken by shuttle. And then came the icing on the cake: the beach club was still under construction and a breakfast buffet and dining room had been set up in the middle of the construction site. We had breakfast between construction workers grinding and painting, and the picture was rounded off by various construction workers with wheelbarrows driving through the "dining room".
The hotel was the worst on our 3-week tour. We don't understand the few positive reviews here and we wouldn't recommend anyone to book this accommodation!
