Where to start ? Perhaps because you arrive in a very touristy area and ultimately almost none of the staff understands even the most basic English. Then, a “flashy” private villa that will amaze you…the first seconds: The bath towels are indescribably stenchy (and make your hands sticky) Even if they are changed every day, smell of the rotten sock which just did a 30km hike. Ultimately you smell worse AFTER than before the shower. The toilet didn't flush for 2 days, fortunately there is the Balinese jet to unclog the toilets. Suddenly, baaah smell of sewage in the toilets! Do not open the bathroom cupboards: there is a huge layer of mold. Some of the electrical outlets are torn out of the wall. The sheets were clean but stained on arrival, so when you work in a hotel, the minimum is to change the sheets before the arrival of new arrivals. Colony of large red ants on the terrace. Positive points: great location, at the end of a super quiet alley away from the dangerous traffic of Seminyak while remaining in the heart of the city center. Decent breakfasts, and served on time. Very nice bathtub and soap available which smells good (but don't forget that you will still smell bad because the bath towels stink!) The private swimming pool is not heated but is pleasant. The very young staff, however, tries to do their best despite their incompetence.
