The service and cleanliness were absolutely wonderful, loved the butlers and also the resort breakfast menu. The location is perfect, while a little further inward and away from the main street, it provides a nice quiet respite from the bustling traffic. We got the ocean view suite and I really enjoyed the sea view, breeze and sounds of the ocean. If you are looking for a nice private and relaxing stay in Bali, this is the perfect location!

It's a wonderful accommodation. It has a nice view, it's quiet, and the private pool is nice. The staff is also friendly. The food is delicious and brought to your room. However, because there are so many birds, bird poop falls frequently. And I couldn't sleep well because of the chicken next door(?). The chicken crowed all day.

The experience is very special, really really unforgettable, everyone should experience it.

The environment is pretty good, and the privacy w is also very high. There is an independent swimming pool, and there is also an outdoor one. Every day, the butler will ask about the breakfast options for the next day, and it is prepared in advance. It is very considerate

We had a great stay at The Samata. The staff was very polite and helpful. The food was tasty, but the portions could be a bit bigger. It occurred twice that we went to the reception and restaurant , but no one was there to help. Besides that the room service was good and it was a relaxing atmosphere at the hotel.

The place is excellent with a good view. The room is tidy and the swimming pool is satisfying. My friends and I enjoyed an unforgettable holiday here. Also, the staff here is really friendly and love to help. I injured my toe on the beach, and the staff were very attentive, helping to bandage my wound with great care.

Staying at The Samata was the best family holiday we have ever had! We stayed in the 2-bedroom villa with a private pool that was very modern and tastefully decorated so it was very easy for our family to relax during our week long stay. The staff went out of their way to ensure our family was comfortable and enjoying our time in Bali. Special thanks to Novia at reception, Angga who took us on a private Sunrise Walk experience, and Maha in the restaurant. The Samata far exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend it for families looking for a quiet and luxurious holiday in Bali.

In the most tranquil of settings you will be looked after by the friendliest staff. They offer beautifully cooked food in the restaurant and the best massages in the world! The resort has a very well equipped gym which I used on a daily basis. We considered doing some of the many excursions that they willingly recommend and book for you, but in the end just staying and relaxing was all we needed. The beach walk and many restaurants are very close but take’s about 20 minutes taxi, if you fancy the buzz of the seafront. It’s faster coming back when the roads are clear. They are very cheap and easy to book on your phone through the ‘Grab’ app or the staff will happily book for you. We walked out around the back streets of the village. Everyone seems very friendly, the beach isn’t far to walk. Black volcanic sand and a stiff breeze in August. We can highly recommend a stay at The Samata Retreat. Where you will arrive feeling very welcomed and leave feeling very relaxed.

The Samata retreat is a great place to spend your days in Sanur. The facilities are amazing, everything is super clean and the staff is always friendly and ready to assist you. Great food and drinks! I would love to come back and I deffinately recomend it!

The studio was clean, large room/bathroom and/balcony, bifold doors going through. Mosquito net had no holes. Staff all wonderful. Food fresh and nice. Pools clean and abundant. Further out of town, not much in vicinity, low cost for taxi

Thank you to all the team at Samata for our incredible holiday. So many trips to Bali and this exceeded all of them. Travelling with two young kids, this ticked all our boxes. Peaceful yet close enough to everything Sanur has to offer, luxurious without being pretentious and amazing food options on-site that keep us all happy. In the mornings we did Yoga overlooking the rice-fields with butterflies and birds fluttering around us. In the afternoons we sat by our pool and watched the kites drifting over the beach. I’m still on cloud 9 and we’ve been home two weeks. See you again soon, Samata!
