WARNING: RATS IN THIS HOTEL. Honestly the worst hotel we've ever stayed at without a shadow of doubt. At about midnight trying to sleep and we hear a lot of scuttling and commotion. We turn the lights on and shine a torch up to see several holes and some eyes looking back at us. After 30 secs they get more confident - 2 enormous rats start running along the support beams of the roof right above the bed. The feathers are the nests they've built. Gross. The black bits in bed were on closer inspection, rat poo. Just awful.

The Tanis is less than a stones throw from the beach. At a quieter end of Mushroom Bay, this is a good place to be if you want some peace & quiet. Pools were great to swim in and you can be at the beach in minutes. Restaurants and mini mart are in a few minutes walk. If you book their Tanis fast boat, it delivers you in front of the hotel. But you are packed in like sardines & it's hot. The rooms were clean and air con worked well- we had a fab view from our room. Pillows were an issue- flat as a pancake. Breakfast on our first fay was great. Next day it was busier and the staff struggled with getting breakfast orders out and correct. Wifi was patchy and we were advised on the first day to open your door if you wanted better reception. Best wifi spot was down by the pool closest to reception. We booked a driver for a tour of some of the island- we were quoted 1 price only to be told something by the driver- who quoted more. But the tour we did have was fine. We also booked our Manta Ray snorkeling trip through the reception with a local guide- brilliant! A very helpful guide. No mantarays for us, but lots of fish, dolphins & a turtle.

Excellent stay! The waterslide beach view balcony of my room was amazing! The waterslide is worth a trip down, but your hair will get wet, totally dunked at the end! As a remote worker the staff was impeccably helpful for me to work in a Balinese resort from 11pm to 7am without disturbing guests and being on video for all those hours. Amazing water activities, quaint beach bars, clean room, and gorgeous water! The resort’s private water taxi / ferry is way cheaper and nicer than the one I took to the island. Highly recommend!

Basic hotel but very good value for the price. Lovely view overlooking the beautiful turquoise ocean. Staff very helpful and lovely people. Mushroom Beach is stunning. Great location for getting off the ferry, staff will take your luggage.

This hotel is amazing! As soon as we arrived the customer service was excellent! They carried our bags from the boat all the way to our rooms, they were so so friendly and you could tell they really wanted us to have an amazing time! The pool and the slide is also so fun! Thank you so much to all the staff, I had an amazing stay here!

Sonya & i went for 3 days and spent 16 nights at Tanis Villas as this location is fantastic , pricing very attractive and the staff here were exceptional. Walk to the beach is only 50 metres to crystal clear water, restaurants are next door and food and nightly entertainment was so enjoyable. Just a hidden delight after the madness of 2 months in Europe to finish our trip. Hope to be back in 2023 !!

There are several critical aspects regarding the stay in this hotel: the bathroom water was too hot and, when we asked to fix it, we were told "the staff is at dinner". I understand the different habits and customs, but here we are talking about ensuring a basic service. The breakfast was very poor and everything ran out early, if you wanted something else you had to pay. All in all quite disappointing.
