The hotel is simply great. The staff is typically Balinese friendly and helpful. Renting a scooter was uncomplicated - just requested it and shortly afterwards it was there ready for use. It was just as easy for us to book a driver for one day. It's a 10-minute scooter ride to the shopping and gastro mile. However, you can also spend a whole day in the hotel with massages and a pool restaurant. Our room was decorated in Bali style. The shower and toilet were outside - which didn't bother us. Breakfast is very tasty.

We stayed in a two bedroom suite - was beautiful .. the owner of the villa was friendly and accommodating - couple of hiccups - ie TV wasn't working when we arrived and had absolutely no idea how to work the water purifyer in the lounge / kitchen - plus no instructions. And I know it is wet season in Bali, but all of our sheets on beds had very 'damp' feel to them - plus a damn frog kept us awake ALL NIGHT LONG - (hardly the hotels fault - however worth a mention!) - restaurant / pool area charming and peaceful - staff in restaurant friendly, but really not attentive to their customers . breakfast was good - food nice.

Calma is a laid back, small, cute, clean and quite boutique hotel with friendly staff. My studio suite was spacious, and clean with a couch and kitchenet. The outdoor covered patio restaurant has a homie feel with delicious food and fruit drinks by the pool. I always get the breakfast package, so I recommend adding this. It's a good way to fuel up before you start your day off exploring Ubud. The location is about 10 - 15 mins away from the center and most other things depending on traffic. Its supper close to the Rice Terraces and Monkey Forest. I would recommend this hotel.

We stayed here as a family and were extremely happy with everything they have to offer. The accomodation was clean, spacious and private. The staff were excellent, very accomodating and ever so friendly. The restaurant was amazing with fabulous food and drinks across all meals with the option to enjoy a lovely cocktail around the pool or a relaxing massage in the rainforest setting. We did feel it was a little too far away from town to walk but we utilised the free Calma shuttle bus and also a local taxi for a couple of trips. This did not take away from the experience. We would be more than happy to stay there again.

Great resort tucked away from hustle of Ubud Food is amazing Little warungs & massage places close by Staff are very friendly & happy to help you Rooms are comfortable, we had outdoor shower & toilet Rooms are clean & inviting Highly recommended

Stayed here for 6 nights and it is an independently owned boutique hotel. The staff are all super helpful and very friendly. Hotel is located about a 5 minutes drive from the centre of Ubud and run a shuttle service if required but taxi fares are so cheap found them so convenient Rooms are well appointed and are extremely clean. If you want a quiet hotel just outside the hustle and bustle of central Ubud this is the place for you for sure

This property has a very relaxing atmosphere. It is a beautifully build and one can surely wind down here. The made to order breakfast menu has different type of foods to choose from, either local or western and its delicious. From the day we arrived to the day we left we felt safe and welcomed at Calma Ubud. One thing that can be improved would be the free shuttle service to Ubud market. I wished there is no set pick up time and we can contact the hotel for pick up when we are done shopping. The staffs are pleasant and will do their very best to satisfy your needs. My gratitude goes to Kadek, Dian and Komang for assisting to my needs and requests, you have made our stay at Calma Ubud a wonderfull experience. I will definitely stay at this property again! john
