Let's start from the assumption that on the island, fortunately not yet too touristy like Bali, there are not many accommodation facilities. When we booked we wanted a solution close to the sea to relax after touring Bali and we were attracted both by the advantageous price and by the positive reviews of the guests. The accommodation facility is actually attached to the beach, in our opinion the most beautiful on the island for the always calm ocean where it is possible to swim looking for spots without boats and for the presence of several nice places. Unfortunately, apart from the advantageous price, this is the only positive aspect. Let's start by saying that the structure is completely made of wood and the floors vibrate when guests walk. The walls are thin and have no acoustic and thermal insulation (the rooms are built like a tree house with wooden planks nailed next to each other) and this meant that from our room we could clearly hear what was happening in our neighbors' bathroom. As soon as we arrived we checked the mattress; an operation that we do in every hotel/house in every part of the world to avoid bed bugs. We didn't see any bedbugs or their exoskeletons, but the mattress was covered in small blood stains in several places, as if there had been an infestation previously. The curtain covering the windows was also stained with blood. Obviously we couldn't sleep that night and slept on top of the sheets for the whole week. Luckily we weren't bitten. Accessories in the room: - air conditioning - TV - Two towels that smelled of sweat and we asked to change - A kettle - A tiny bar of soap - Two plates, a glass and a cup, a spoon and a fork In our room there were no hooks to hang clothes or shelves, apart from a desk positioned in a corner. There is no hair dryer and bottled water is not provided. In the bathroom there was no shelf to put products or clothes on and there is no partition between the shower and the toilet. The day after our arrival, technicians were present because there was no hot water coming out of the shower. We continued to urge the owners because the intervention, four days later, had not been effective. On the third night a mouse entered the room, most likely using the window in the bathroom without a frame. We discovered that the mouse had entered our neighbors' room the night before. After this incident we went to the owners to explain that we intended to leave and they, very sorry, offered to change rooms as soon as one was available. The second room was actually better than the first (more spacious and with a larger bed) but very little water came out of the sink. We pointed this out, but no one intervened. The air conditioner cooled very little, probably the
