Fantastic value for money, friendly staff, wonderful food & great location. This is my second visit to this hotel as a solo parent & I will definitely return. Only thing that could be improved, in my opinion, was the cleaning of the rooms as this was minimal. But other than that, a great stay.

We are not normally people to complain, but this hotel was very poor considering it was supposedly a 4*. I would push at a 3*. During our 7 night stay, we had 3 room changes and numerous rude interactions with the staff at reception, particularly Sergi who was very rude and not helpful. We booked a studio and were given 2 ground floor rooms (which wasn’t the problem). But it became evident very quickly that there was a clear ant infestation as both rooms we were given on ground floor were covered with thousands of ants. The first room we were given had a broken lock on the back door which also disabled the air conditioning from working, alongside damaged bedside and kitchen cabinets. We were told the maintenance team would be there in 10 minutes to fix the door, but 3 hours later nobody had arrived. We requested a room change as we didn’t feel safe leaving the room and all our belongings in an unlockable room which was accessible from the balcony. We were moved to another ground floor studio which was mouldy and also infested with ants. We tolerated the ants outdoors as there is nothing we could do about that, but it became a problem when they started invading the room and covering all of our clothes and belongings. This is where the staff became very rude and told us that “we are on an island with ants and mosquitos so there is nothing we can do”. Whilst the ants and mosquitos did not bother us, it became a problem when they were uncontrollably entering the room from the balcony even when the doors were shut. When I went to reception, reluctantly we were given a bottle of bug spray to spray around the balcony door and inside the room which killed the ants in the room but didn’t stop them from entering. We went back to reception the next day and asked for a room off the ground floor as the ants were clearly a ground floor issue, but we were offered a third ground floor flat, and at this point we had learnt our lesson to check the room before moving in and yet again this third room was also infested with ants both on the balcony and in the room itself. We refused the room and finally got a room on the second floor and there was not an ant in sight. Not only did we not have an ant infestation, the cleaners also made more of an effort. Whilst on the ground floor, cleaners only changed the bathroom towels and didn’t make the bed or clean anything, but in our second floor room our bed was made, towels changed, room cleaned, glass on balcony wiped and even swept the floors. It looks like the more money you pay for the room the more effort the cleaners put in which is appalling. If the cleaners made more effort on the ground floor rooms, maybe the ants wouldn’t be such a problem? Throughout my stay, I spoke to multiple other people who were staying in a ground floor room and also had issues with ants. Consequently, the staff should be more approachable and understanding when dealing with these complaints as it is clearly a hotel issue. Ove

A perfect family holiday! Wonderful hotel, amazing staff Loved the yoga and kids club! Highly recommended for families 10 relaxing days .We spent 10 days at this hotel and couldn't be happier. The staff are amazing, I did yoga every morning outside which was an amazing way to start the day. The two ladies that took the yoga classes were called Victoria, Lourana and marina, they also did all the children’s clubs. The way they interacted with the children was amazing, my daughter's confidence over the 10 days amazed me the ladies even managed her to do karaoke which is something she would have never dared do. Overall the food was lovely something for everyone. The location is 10 minutes from the beautiful clear water and soft white sunny beach. The meal time staff were all very friendly and polite, and the room was cleaned daily.

We have just returned form a weeks stay here for our summer holiday, it was a last minute booking- and a good price. We stayed self-catering, but did use the restaurant for breakfast once, and bought lunch from the snack bar. The food at breakfast was ok, sadly the hot food was tepid, but the freshly made eggs and pancakes were good. The snack bar was quite expensive for what it was, but the food was nice. They were not able to deal with allergies well, which meant my husband had to go and search for food elsewhere. The rooms were great, spacious and clean. They were basic in terms of furniture etc, but still good. The room was cleaned daily, which was a great experience, as a mum of 4 I don’t get things cleaned for me often- definitely a highlight for me! We took our youngest 2 children (age 14 & 8) they both have autism and loved the hotel especially the pools. They preferred the indoor pool, as the outdoor pools were very busy- (and of course all of the sun-beds were ‘taken’ by 9am. We didn’t race down to save sun-beds as we like to explore and unlike others we didn’t feel it right to save them and not use them for long periods of time- not a hotel issue but more of a guest issue). However a word of warning the indoor pool is colder than the outdoor pools, so brace yourself when getting in 😆. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, especially the reception staff who were very accommodating. The only thing that we feel lets this hotel down slightly, is the location. It is a 20 minute walk into Sa Coma centre and a 25 minute walk into Cala Millor centre. Which for many I’m sure is fine, but my boys struggled with this especially in the heat, and after a full day of activities. The hotel would happily order a taxi for you, but trying to get taxis from other locations during the day was difficult and taxi ranks that you could use were hard to find- as many of them were either not useable due to roadworks, construction or obstructed by festival set-ups. In the area there were many things to keep the family entertained such as; beaches, bicycle hire, remote control car hire, a dinosaur land, a small water park, a safari zoo, and arcades etc. These things are all an extra cost, but worth doing to a few to elevate your holiday experience. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay at HM Mar Blau, and would definitely recommend it.

The hotel and staff are lovely, entertainment staff are good fun for both adults and children, beds are comfy, clean apartments and cleaned as often as you like, all inclusive well worth it as different themed food each night and lots of choice! Short walks to Sa Coma and the beaches, plenty available to do in the surrounding area. Would recommend

If you are going here for room only it’s ok. DO NOT GO ALL INCLUSIVE. The all inclusive food is dreadful and just not worth the money. The buffet food is dreadful and although difficult to be worse the bar snacks managed it. Our room was comfy. Couldn’t use the balcony cause of the ants. The pool was very busy and it was difficult to get sun loungers especially at the weekend. In a quiet spot though just a short walk / taxi from Calla Millor. But really I wouldn’t go back

We arrived at HM Mar Blau only to find our self-catering room crawling with ants. They were visible immediately upon check-in, and we had to fumigate the room to address it. While we appreciated the quick action, the chemical smell lingered, and we spent our short stay worrying about the pests returning. We’d planned to cook meals here, but the kitchen was completely impractical with a tiny two hob stove, a fridge too small for even basic groceries, and a severe lack of utensils (no pots, pans, or cutlery). Worse, after seeing the ants, we didn’t dare bring food into the room anyway. The whole point of self catering was ruined. The only silver lining? We are here for just one night. The hotel’s generic, copy paste responses to other reviews (likely AI-generated) suggest they aren’t genuinely reading feedback. If you do read this - invest in proper pest control and equip your kitchens properly. Until then, avoid the self-catering rooms.

Good location in between Sa coma & Cala millor, both within walking distance and with great beaches. Staff were friendly and worked hard some there all day & night. Evening entertainment was basic but like I say not far to walk out if you want something more. No issues with sunbeds didn’t have to fight to get one but if you went down too late in the morning (11.30ish) it did start to get busy so might struggle to get 4 together for example. All inclusive was decent and a good selection of different foods even with 2 vegetarians in the group - always found enough variety to eat. Couple of things to bear in mind - if you arrive in the early hours they allow you to go into the restaurant to get something to eat and drink, it’s not a lot of choice but was very much appreciated after a late flight and was a bonus. You pay £1 per plastic reusable cup at the pool for your all inclusive drinks which you get back at the end to help reduce plastic usage & be more environmentally friendly which we thought was great. If you have a late check out there are only shower facilities until 6pm when the spa shuts- we hadn’t realised that it closed (wasn’t told either when asked if there was luggage room and somewhere to get changed, they just said yes downstairs in the spa but we hadn’t used the spa so didnt even register closing times etc ) so when we came away from the pool just before it closed to get showered and changed before being picked up we couldn’t & had to get changed in the public toilet area which was difficult with people regularly using it so just bare that in mind. Overall a good hotel in a good location- we would return.
