Find St Julian＇s Hotels With Balcony

We celebrated our wedding at Westin Dragonara resort and they made my dreams come true! We chose Reef club / Pavilion because of its perfect location close to the sea, spacious venue and we also used a chance to take some romantic photos at Quadro and The boat house lounge. We booked two nights at the hotel and everything started with a warm welcoming by Tony, Doraldo and their front desk team. Every team member was always with a smile and very helpful. Special thanks to the night team Samson and Suneel who were very friendly and welcoming to us! The room was perfectly clean , had a nice smell and had all the amenities we needed . Just a quick call to service express call center and Katarina , Alexia and Alejandra will make anything possible! They were very efficient to our frequent requests and they even provided a high chair for a bride when doing her make up ;) The wedding was perfectly organized thanks to Johanna and Pierre and their team who were very patient, professional and flexible to our requests. It felt like they read our minds :) The food was super delicious , and also special thanks to the pastry chef for a beautiful and delicious cake ! Last but not least, I would like to thank back of the house team, such as reservations team (Eva and Maja ) and accounts team (Joane and Jovana) who were very efficient when replying to us. We would definitely recommend The Westin Dragonara resort for a vacation or any kind of celebration and we are looking forward to coming back in the future! Tank you all! Sasha and Marten with love!

Starting with the information - we stayed at So City as a young couple (who arent particularly into nightclubs/bars) to see Matla for the first time over a week. I have given this a 'benefit-of-the-doubt' rating due to the hotel being incredibly new. We picked So City Hotel because of the value, it was incredibly well priced. I'd imagine this is a strategy due to it being so new but it was certainly well worth the price we paid. On to the hotel as a whole - I feel this is definitely aimed toward capturing people coming to Malta for some night life. Its positioned so that no more than 10 seconds from leaving the lobby, you can be in a bar, and their are some nice bars surrounding. That said, we werent there for that - but this location also meant that finding an evening meal, or a quick early night drink was incredibly easy. Exploring the island was also very easy from here, Valletta was a very short journey, and as we had opted to rent a car, there was a carpark about 5 minutes walk away (Pengardens) which is reasonably priced for over night parking, and we never struggled for a space. The room was very comfortable, and the mattress was perfect and bedding very soft and comfortable. Our upgraded room was also incredibly spacious. The theming is a nice touch and makes the room a bit more characterful and individual. Staying on the 7th floor, there was minimal noise at night, altough id be concerned if we needed to keep the window open.... The black out curtains were also amazing for keep the room dark for a little bit of extra sleep. Constructive criticism for the room would be: The shower tempurture is difficult - the hottest setting is insanely hot (my other half loves hot showers but this was too much for her also) and it wouldnt go cold, just cooler, it also seemed to get colder through out the shower and you found yourself adjusting. There is not a lot of storage at all for longer stays. This is perhaps a by product of it feeling aimed towards 'nightlifers' who might stop 3 nights or so. I would perhaps ask reception for additional hangers if you have plenty of clothes for a longer stay. The mini fridge, altough useful, is not big enough to put larger water bottles in, which can be annoying. The aircon unit is situated in a place which means it blows directly at the bed. I tried to play with the control but there was no way to adjust it that I could find. Im trying to cool the room, not refridgerate myself. The timer on the aircon also didnt seem to work, so setting it the blow for 30 mins whilst i went to sleep just didnt seem to work. The TV is not a full smartTV which is a shame. Just channels and an internet browser, which are never nice to navigate around.... On to other notes: Breakfast is just what you need. Its not an all out buffett where there is everything you could dream of, but there is more than enough and a few items cycle so you can expect a slightly different breakfast each morning. At the Marriott, Atrio Bistro we met for the Summer Sunday Lunch Roast. An awesome experience thanks to Marta's help and her team. We have been suggested the private room and have been very pleased with the hospitality. There's a vast selection of wines, their anti-pasto is exquisite and the pasta is delicious. The selection of meat from the Carvery table served by the helpful Chef is mouth watering and we hardly had space for our desert. Excellent value for money and service with a smile throughout. Would surely recommend this restaurant for special occasions or group gathering, enjoying the beautiful Balluta Bay views, the exquisite food and the service with a smile.

We stayed here for a last minute break away for our anniversary. When we got dropped off the location was in a busy street late at night on a Saturday. When we arrived at the hotel we were expected being the last arrival of the day. Check in was very efficient and the reception doubled up as a bar. The room was very spacious and very clean, with a nice big double bed, ac, TV, safe, kettle, fridge and storage. The balcony was street facing which was small but enough for 2 and ideal for the hubby who smokes. The bathroom was again very spacious and very clean we had a nice walk in shower and the water pressure was also very good. We realised in the morning we were in the midst of a town with lots of construction but the noise could not be heard if the windows were shut. Due to this the AC was needed which is the only thing I can fault. Due to this being controlled by a panel on the wall by the entrance but no remote was available to control therefore had a disturbed sleep to change temp or switch on or off.

Excellent property with great location, extremely clean and comfortable, super friendly staff. Teo was extraordinary! He was a true example of excellent hospitality. He made our trip more exciting in Malta by guiding and giving us tips about the city and the attractions to cover in 72 hours. He made sure that everything was arranged for us accordingly. I couldn't thank him enough for the excellent level of service he had rendered. We will surely visit H Hotel on our next holiday and expect that will recommend your hotel to our family and friends.

The hotel is very comfortable and the geographical conditions are superior. The view of the sea view room is very, very good. Children especially like the swimming pool that comes with the hotel. The food around the hotel is also good, there are different choices. Recommended.

Very nice hotel with great customer service. Dealt with Malcolm and other than speaking 3 to 4 languages he’s capable and pleasant to deal with. I suggest getting into the club since it has a nice breakfast selection and aperitif. I imagined a better experience in the rooftop restaurant but the best thing they have is the view.

Excellent staff / service, couldn’t have asked for more. Food: breakfast and pool bar menu was amazing! We ate lunch here every day because it was great. Room was great - I would pay extra for a room with a balcony though otherwise you don’t have a proper window with a view of the outside world. Would stay here again for the roof top pool - always a sunbed available! Air con was 10/10 all over the hotel which is something I find to be lacking in other hotels. 10/10 location for the beach, the bay, shopping or the night club *****.

We arrived to find that we did not have a room. We were staying for 2 weeks as we were getting married. Easy jet had cancelled our flight from Gatwick. I informed the hotel of our change of date which I had on my phone. Can you imagine how we felt? We also had 8 rooms booked for family. After half an hour of total stressed they found our booking under Kevin Kevin!! The hotel receptionist was going to provide some Prosecco and was also asked to book 3 taxis for my self and bridesmaids on Saturday 1st October, I asked several times if he had done this he assured me that everything was booked and not to worry. Saturday came no taxis and no Prosecco. Had to book ourselves, meaning we were late for my wedding. The hotel itself is dirty, I found dried blood and holes on supposedly clean sheets, mattress was threadbear. The rooms were swept once in the time we spent here. New staff are always being trained, obviously they don’t keep them very long. The showers are small dirty and bathroom tiny. Hardly any storage facilities. You have to pay to hire a fridge. There are no facilities to iron clothes and the hairdryer smells of burning when you use. The air conditioner in the room causes everyone to have sore throats. There are no disability facilities, the stairs are narrow, there is one lift that is very small. I seriously would advise that you do not stay at this hotel
