Hotel Scirocco St Julian's, Affiliated by Melia

clean, modern, lots of shops around, bus easy to use, lovely views, staff are amazing, tv in the bedroom and just overall amazing hotel and area :)

Brand new hotel situated down a side street at St Julians - close to a bars etc although once inside the hotel we did not hear a sound. The bus stops for Valletta one way - Mdina etc in the other are at the top of the road and machine to buy tickets at one. Hotel is very clean as you would expect - the rooms are spacious (well ours was) as was the bathroom with an enclosed shower! Only ****** and this is of all hotels - a space is never provided for your toileteries whilst in the shower. Breakfast was very good - once again for us - it provided cereal and breads etc - small hot section which we didn't use so cannot say what it was like. But the shining light in this hotel is the staff - they were an international team that had obviously studied up on the island and where to go and how to get there - excellent personal skills from all of them. This is across the board from reception to breakfast and cleaning - could not fault them. The pool area is small with a plunge pool probably accomodates around 5 people - great hotel for a base to travel around in. St Julians is not a laid back area and quite a bit of traffic but the hotel is lovely! Thank You all

Was a little worried before we arrived because there were only a few previous reviews. This is because the hotel had only been open a couple of months. Hotel was spotless and I really can’t praise the staff enough, so kind and friendly ( every single one of them) Very central for travelling around the island, maybe St Julians was a little young and lively for myself and my 80 yr old relative.

Stayed in March 24, during St Patrick’s weekend, which we didn’t realise at the time. Opened the balcony to find 5,000 people outside, thankfully it was just for one day. The hotel is brand new with fantastic bathrooms and a great bed. Fresh fluffy towels. Each floor seems have just 4 rooms across 10 floors. There is also a 24hr reception. The pool was closed, but it was too cold to use it anyway, however the pool was open at their sister hotel nearby. The staff are extremely friendly, and made the whole group very welcome. Breakfast was of a very good quality, but was a little limited on the fruit side. Definitely stay there again. As for location, it’s right in between St Julian’s and Paceville, although the area does seem to cater for a younger crowd. It is very close to the bus stops and the tour buses, but I would recommend to only use the local buses.

The staff was very kind, super clean, they stored my bags and offered access to the hotel facilities after I checked out as my ferry was not until the evening. They arranged my car to the port perfectly.

A charming hotel within walking distance of most areas in St Julian’s. Staff are friendly ( a lovely warm welcome when we arrived) and the rooms clean and spacious ( we were staying in the larger suite room). Black out blinds needed in the sitting area as the light from the reception area comes into these rooms meaning it’s impossible to get the sleeping area dark but other than that happy with our stay The team were great when we needed to get a Dr and extend our stay due to illness.
