"Our family had a wonderful six-day stay at Illume Taipei, and we couldn’t have asked for a more convenient location. The hotel is surrounded by multiple 7-Eleven and FamilyMart convenience stores, ensuring that snacks, essentials, and quick meals are always within reach. In fact, there’s even a 7-Eleven located inside the hotel itself, which adds to the overall convenience. For families traveling with young children, the accessibility to medical facilities is a major plus. A hospital is located nearby, and a pediatric clinic is just a two-minute walk away, providing peace of mind in case of any unexpected health concerns. The room was spacious, well-maintained, and equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The thoughtful layout and cleanliness made it a welcoming space to return to after a long day of exploring the city. Overall, Illume Taipei offers a fantastic balance of comfort, convenience, and accessibility, making it an excellent choice for both families and travelers looking for a hassle-free stay. Highly recommended!"

"Really good Japanese style hotel, even goes as far as practicing Japanese mannerism by bowing which was an eye opener for us. Room was clean albeit slightly dusty. Toilet was clean with nice separation between the bathtub/shower area with the WC. Convenient location, 3 mins walk to the closest MRT and with the summer heat, that’s a huge plus. View from the room was excellent too. The hotel also have a public bath. Great hotel!"

"Super nice and quiet hotel. Prime location that's just a few minutes walk away from Raohe Night Market. It's also a quick walk away from the train and metro station. The room is clean, only quirky part is that the basin/sink is outside of the toilet (i.e. in the room on the long desk table). But no issues with that at all. Even though it's near Raohe Night Market, it's behind it, so it's definitely not noisy. You can get good quality sleep at night. No worries at all. Will definitely recommend this hotel for those that want to stay in a prime location when visiting Taipei."

"Overall, our stay was passable. The room was clean, and the location was convenient for accessing Ximen. However, getting to the hotel required a long detour around the new building to reach the old building. Additionally, there was no shelter between the buildings, which was inconvenient when it rained. Even the pick-up and drop-off area lacked proper shelter. To be fair, they do provide raincoats at the reception at the old building. On the day of checkout, around 11 AM, we requested umbrellas to cross over, but the staff suggested waiting for the rain to subside until our checkout time at 12 PM due to a shortage of manpower. When we asked how they would facilitate checkout if the rain continued, especially during peak checkout hours, the staff were unable to provide a clear response."

"Worst 5 stars hotel i have stayed. You may observe similar feedbacks if you look at the reviews. Weird toilet design. The bathtub is just beside the main door. When opened, you can literally see the bathtub and toilet bowl. There is also no overflow drainage hole on the bathtub. The water could overflow and wet the toilet floor entirely. And the irony is that they put up a sign to encourage water saving but provide a poorly designed bathtub. The curtain is thin and sunlight shines right through at about 6+AM. The blackout curtain is a vertical blind and it is very heavy to pull up and down to block out the sunlight. They do not care anyway because when told of my bad experiences, the manager just smile that feel like saying ”hey, this is what it is”. Definitely will not stay in this hotel again."

"My overall experience at Cityinn Hotel was quite positive. The hotel’s location is excellent, situated near a major transportation hub, and there are plenty of great food options nearby. The price is very reasonable, and the staff were friendly and provided good service. I also appreciated the complimentary instant noodles and drinks offered in the evening—a nice touch for late-night snacks. The room was generally clean, though I did notice some small stains on the towels and bedding. The hotel provides a well-known breakfast and souvenir pre-order service, which is delivered the next morning—a unique feature I haven’t seen at other hotels and found very convenient. However, there were a few downsides. The room was quite small, with the bathroom directly facing the bed, which could be a bit awkward for friends sharing the room. Additionally, the limited space made it difficult to open two suitcases at the same time, which was inconvenient for two people. The soundproofing was also poor—I could easily hear noises from the hallway, and even the music or hair dryer sounds from the neighboring rooms. These were the less enjoyable aspects of my stay. That said, considering the hotel’s affordable price and prime location, these issues are somewhat understandable. I would still consider staying at Cityinn Hotel on my next trip to Taipei, though I’d opt for a larger room to ensure a more comfortable experience."

"I recently stayed at Simple+ Hotel and had a fantastic experience. From the moment I arrived at 6 am, the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive. The check-in process was smooth, and my room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with all the amenities I needed. The hotel’s location was perfect—conveniently close to train station and major attractions yet quiet enough for a relaxing stay. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a great stay, whether for business or leisure. I will definitely be returning!"

"The check-in front desk only starts at 8 am so if you arrive earlier, there is a 7-Eleven next door for you to take a rest. Service is good, staff are friendly and with the breakfast voucher I got to explore the neighbourhood eateries. If you are coming from Taoyuan Airport, you can take the Airport Express train, the entrance and exit are near where the hotel is located. It's near Taipei Main Station where you can take the High Speed Rail, local railway and metro. Love the design of the room I stayed in as they kept the old building structure."

"The room was clean and neat. Furnishing were quite modern. They provide in house coin laundry amenities. Spacious bathroom with even a tub and a separate shower. Location is slightly further from the MRT Station. But there are a few bus stop nearby. We enjoyed our stay very much."

"The room is neat and clean, the staff is polite, and the breakfast is delicious. There are two breakfasts to choose from every day. If it is not enough, you can add more. The hotel is close to Ximending and is conveniently located. There are also surprise gifts for birthdays."
