Lovely hotel located in the Old City of Baku. The check-in was really quick. The hotel room was spacious & clean. The hotel staff were very polite and helpful. Anything required was provided immediately. The restaurant (Natavan restaurant) on the 4th floor had a lovely view of the entire city. The food was good. However, I hope they could improve a bit on the breakfast. The breakfast served was mostly the traditional dishes. Overall it was was good, However, they need to keep some more hot breakfast items. The best part of staying at this hotel was the location. Everything was a 5 - 10 min walk to most of the tourist attractions - Shirvanshah Palace, Miniature book museum, the double gates, Nizami street, Phalharmony gardens etc...

I booked from 30 to 4 January. I called preliminary on 7 December and asked to put 2 separate beds. By phone, everything was explained by the phone. Oppanki 2 problem - Mom has no code passport. A citizen of Azerbaijan. Nowhere about this is indicated that the visitor should have code passport. While we solve this problem, we are dealing with it. 3 problem appears. Your booking has been cancelled. Call the service provider, we have not canceled. In short, the money 29000 has not been returned, expelled to the street, not allowed to the hotel, my room is likely 100% more expensive than others. Hotel is divorced. I don't recommend. If you do not want to stay on the street without housing and without money, do not choose this hotel.

Quite disappointed. Firstly, do not book the breakfast. There is no choice at all, it’s porridge or omelette every day - you can’t even get your eggs done another way. The woman who serves it just stands blankly in front of you without saying a word, doesn’t explain the options, when pressed just replies “omelette” over and over. This is served with a croissant, a few olives, and a bit of bread on the side etc. The croissants are soggy and inedibly chewy at the bottom, clearly from frozen, literally couldn’t eat them. Bread is rock solid. We initially thought the price was decent when first booking breakfast (and hadn’t had it yet) but the street is full of cute places offering actual nice breakfasts for half the price, so it’s very high for the area. There’s also no air con in the restaurant and the sun hits it directly so it’s very warm. Besides the sad breakfast, the experience was mixed/poor. Besides the strange interpretation of customer service in the restaurant, staff are generally pleasant and ready to help with luggage. The bathroom is well stocked with toiletries and has a spacious shower, and the hotel’s location in the old town is ideal. 15 minutes from fountain square, maybe 10 to the promenade. Now for the flipside: only one flat pillow each, looking very lost on the large double bed. Duvet is the wrong size for the bed, it doesn’t even each the sides of the mattress, let alone hang over, so you’ll be duvet fighting all night. Room has a lot of floor space but they clearly didn’t know what to do with it, it all just feels a bit lost and uninspiring, certainly doesn’t feel like a boutique hotel at all. For some inexplicable reason they are reluctant to replenish the toilet paper until you literally go down to reception to ask for some each time; the cleaner is happy to replace shampoo but seemingly not toilet paper, and they only provide one roll at a time, so you’re always caught short at some point - just bizarre. Window for the room without a balcony is not to the outside but to the corridor which lacks privacy, not sure if we missed this in the room description but what couldn’t be expected is that the corridor remains fully illuminated all night and the curtains don’t block the light. You obviously also can’t really air the room because of the window situation.

I am still in this hotel and expects to check out next day. First thing first, I booked 2 nights and the first room they allocated was 323. Noisy from karaoke or band till 11.30Pm even with soundproofing. The bed, kingsize but on the right side sank and if you were to roll to the left side you will feel it feels higher and also the design of the toilet is atrocious seemingly clean at a glance but look closer. The toilet hanger is so high up only tall people can reach the towels. I feedback and was given another room 325. It was better but cleanliness of toilet is still substandard. Next, I checked out after the 2nd night when I queried if I could stow my luggage in the hotel to stay in Sheki for 1 night. They accepted to store my luggage. The day after, I return to check in again for 1 more night and this is my last night in this country. When I enquired with the reception about my luggage, he went out of the reception went to the lobby corner and pull my luggage. I was horrified to see all these while it was not stowed properly in a store room but pushed at one corner of the hotel lobby out in the open where there is a lot of traffic. When enquired with the staff why is this so, he did not response and looked *****ic at me. When I arrived from Tbilisi I had encountered attempted theft from tbilisi airport and now this. This is too much stress for a holiday. The reason for choosing this hotel is because they are near the old city and they have a lift. Find elsewhere they have no regards for people's property.

The single room on the third floor near the reception is small and soundproofed. If you fall asleep in the middle of the night, you will be awakened by the voice outside. I couldn't bear it. I called them to whisper a little, a little better. The next day I asked for a room change, the service attitude was good, and I changed a triple room on the second floor. The rooms are well furnished and the exterior layout is also very characteristic, but there is no shower curtain in the shower room, and the whole bathroom is wet in the shower. I can't imagine how three people would live together.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location next to Fountain Square and the included parking. Furthermore the hotel is old, tired, ill maintained, dirty and hardly deserves one star. The four stars came through corruption which is everywhere in this country. The first room on the backside of the hotel on the third floor was so bad that we got another room on the fourth floor. That was probably the suite of the hotel. This room has the view on Fountain Square, but the floor moves as if the beams are broken/rotten. The bathroom smelled and actually nothing is clean or new. The chair in the room had a loose leg en de bedside lamps almost fell apart. For the last night we had to move to another room. Again on the third floor (305), but on the frontside of the hotel. This room had a terrible sqeaking bed with worn out matrasses and an ill maintained bathroom. Breakfast in this hotel is of no any standard. very little choice, blue boiled eggs, products from the day(s) before (not fresh). The elevator didn't work a couple of times, so going up and down by stairs. The hotel staff hardly speaks English. If you don't care about the place to sleep, but want a perfect location in Baku choose this hotel, but if you care just a little about the accommodation: find another hotel !!

We have chosen this hotel on the principle of “close to the tourist spots and the old city.” It is located in a quiet and comfortable place. A separate entrance group, a 4-storey elevator and breakfast, added ”plus” to the location. Well, the care with which the administration was treated to our arrival (at 2:00 a.m.) finally fascinated us! And set up on absolute understanding and good attitude! We have seen all the further inconveniences, sins and problems from the position - ”Wishing for improvement and development.” We have met with music, cake and flowers - the wife has had a birthday. It was very touching, in good manner, with care and respect. I would like to thank the administrator and the careful man Farid, who has always been interested and clarified, “how are we living?” and “what are we doing well?” And if there were comments and wishes - he always tried, in his power and capacity, to correct, help, warn! Thanks to him and much respect. More essentially less water. Due to the holiday we were given a large room with a large bed and two bathrooms! It later showed how comfortable everything was! The room was a parish and a large room with a balcony. In the room, aside from the bed, there was a large table with a teapot, cups and tea with sugar, a large dressed closet with a safe inside. Also a separate tumb with a refrigerator, two chairs, a magazine table) Many things, but the room was so large that there was no sense of crowding! Space and lots of space for movement. The balcony opened a beautiful view on a narrow street and there was a durable feeling that you were in Paris. The room was warm and clean. The lingerie was soft and snowy. The bathroom was spacious. Shower cabin, toilet, large washing machine, hygienic soul and floor with heated. Very comfortable! The first breakfast was delivered to us in the room, and we had to go down to the -1 floor in the kitchen cafe. The breakfast contained tea, cream, cream, two types of cheese, omlet, sausages, bread, fresh vegetables and juice. Sleep was quiet and quiet. The street was a little far from the track and the broad streets of Baku. From wishes for development: - more sustainable wi-fi. We had the signal and the speed left to wish for better. There are at least 4 Sapphire Hotels in Baku (Sapphire, Sapphire Inn, Sapphire City, Royal Sapphire), so it can get a little confusing. But the Sapphire Inn, where I stayed, is OK. Admittedly, it looks a lot better online than in reality, but it still has lots of good aspects. The location is excellent, easy walking to Old City, waterfront or center. I got room 314, an enormous, old-style space with rather faded beige carpet and hideous gold wallpaper - but space is good and the bed was really comfortable. My bathroom was in very good shape, clean tiles, large rainshower, good hot water and soft towels. The phone did not work and wifi in the room was weak. Breakfast was rather ”non-European”, with olives, tomatoes and cheese, but wonderful dairy (yoghurt, cream and kaymak to die for !). Some fresh juice and eggs (other than boiled) would be nice. Also, the hotel caters for large tourist groups : when they invaded the breakfast room, it was hard to find a seat and the staff struggled to keep the buffet up-to-date. I found all staff, at reception, room service and restaurant, to be super friendly.

Arrived at the hotel around 8 pm, it was raining and the weather was very cold. From the airport, take a taxi to the entrance of the old city. The driver said that the car should go to the city for 5***at. I said that I left, and then I took the suitcase and walked in to find the hotel. The ground in the old town is Shizi Road. ”Grand Hotel Baku Central Park” – Very pleasant city hotel of the ”4 stars” level located in the heart of Baku. Modern building, – area is small, but there is a restaurant where food and drink are offered, as well as calyan.In my opinion, the situation is very comfortable, home and democratic, without a paphos. The staff of the service – is wonderful, all friendly, attentive, a lot of people who speak and understand Russian. The first floor is 24-hour reception, where you can contact any question. Very enjoyed the interior decoration of the – clean, light, modern. There is also a free and fairly decent wi-fi throughout the hotel, including in the room. We were offered a three-bedroom room on the 3rd floor.It was spacious, light, comfortable and equipped with everything necessary.The room was cleaned daily thanks for cleanliness.Separate thanks for breakfast, it was delicious and satisfactory:) In foot access from the hotel, souvenir shops, The hotel has been more than expected in all its aspects. The Grand Hotel Baku Central Park is a great budget option for tourists. So, in the price-quality ratio, the Grand Hotel Baku Central Park is at the height of the hotel and the Baku as a whole.

I would highly recommend this hotel! - Hotel location is perfect: in the beautiful old town. Everything within Old town, Nizami street, Baku Promenade and Highland Park are within walking distance. Old city Metro station is near to the hotel in case we want to travel to attractions not within walking distance. - Room was big and clean, and I had a very comfortable stay and good sleep during my 3 nights in Baku. Heating was perfect and balcony was cute offering views to the Flame towers - Staff were lovely: Leyla, Javid, Yousef and one more (forgot the name) - Breakfast was sumptuous and filling. I always had a good start to the day thanks to the breakfast. Also, breakfast is served from 7:30 am unlike 8:00 am which I liked a lot - Leyla and the hotel staff also helped me book a day trip to Guba and Khinaliq in Caucasus Mountains which was amazing
