Promenade Hotel Baku

The experience staying at Promenade Baku was great. The executive room was very spacious. International Breakfast was served with fruits n nuts. Staff was very friendly. Location was perfect.

Everything about the hotel was great except the towels in the room were so old that some were threaded and were so hard to use

This hotel was suggested by the travel agent and told me it's a 4-star hotel. But my overall experience with this was not very positive, and this hotel doesn't fall in the four stars category. The equipments are not maintained properly. Staff don't have good understanding of English, hence communication issues. My toilet had a drainage issue and when I complained the reception told me Staff is available only in the morning and hence it will be addressed only in morning. Very pathetic

The pros : staff polite, hotel looks nice interior and exterior. Convenient location to near dining places, cafes and restaurants and behind there is the old Baku city which is the historical attractions in Baku. The cons: hotel toilet not clean enough and the bed was dented on half side and the first 1 nite the room allocated to me was noisy due to a nearby restaurant with a live band. The bed is too hard is like sleeping on a concrete floor. Luggage storage is non existent. I asked them to stow luggage for 1 nite as I went to the nearby city and will return the following day, they agreed. But next day when I checked in I found my luggage was not stowed in a storage but left at one corner at the hotel lobby. This is unacceptable and total disregared for guests property. Never will I return or recommend people this hotel.

This is NOT a five star hotel for sure! Its nothing like it's pictures. We got here by 2 pm but were told that our rooms weren't ready so we left our luggage and went out to explore. When we got back we were given a dark, small, smelly room which had an odour from the sewer. We tried to ignore this but after a couple of hours the smell became unbearable & we saw water coming up from the drain in the bathroom & this was at aroubd 12:30 in the night. The in-charge told us there was no one to help and he'll just place towels on the bathroom floor for the time being & we can think about moving in the morning! We had to be stern and request for a room change immediately which should've been offered to us by them. The reception staff were behaving as if the hotel was on high capacity..which it clearly wasn't! We finally got a room next door and managed through the night. I wouldn't recommend this hotel at all. For the price there are so many other options available around the area.

Hotel is decent, very clean and in a good location. It is just at the edge of old town but easily accessible to the modern part of the city and to the park that borders the Caspian sea. Breakfast was excellent and staff were lovely. Staff were very helpful, friendly and professional. Note the 3 star is in comparison to western hotels. In that area, this would be a 4 star.

From beginning to end the staff was helpful for everything . The room was comfortable, clean and oversized. The location of the hotel was perfect. The breakfast was great and had a lot to offer .

It has 1 lift and convenient to the old city. Staff is friendly and polite. Rooms need maintenance. Cleanliness is substandard. Not 5* standard. Luggage storage is not recommended in this hotel. They dont care about your belongings.

I am still in this hotel and expects to check out next day. First thing first, I booked 2 nights and the first room they allocated was 323. Noisy from karaoke or band till 11.30Pm even with soundproofing. The bed, kingsize but on the right side sank and if you were to roll to the left side you will feel it feels higher and also the design of the toilet is atrocious seemingly clean at a glance but look closer. The toilet hanger is so high up only tall people can reach the towels. I feedback and was given another room 325. It was better but cleanliness of toilet is still substandard. Next, I checked out after the 2nd night when I queried if I could stow my luggage in the hotel to stay in Sheki for 1 night. They accepted to store my luggage. The day after, I return to check in again for 1 more night and this is my last night in this country. When I enquired with the reception about my luggage, he went out of the reception went to the lobby corner and pull my luggage. I was horrified to see all these while it was not stowed properly in a store room but pushed at one corner of the hotel lobby out in the open where there is a lot of traffic. When enquired with the staff why is this so, he did not response and looked ******* at me. When I arrived from Tbilisi I had encountered attempted theft from tbilisi airport and now this. This is too much stress for a holiday. The reason for choosing this hotel is because they are near the old city and they have a lift. Find elsewhere they have no regards for people's property.
