The hotel is in a great location, and it should be the best hotel in Baden-Baden. It is located opposite the drinking fountain hall and the casino. As expected, I was not given the room type I booked at first, but after negotiation, I was given a larger room type. So if you don't speak English well, book a basic room in Europe, and don't pay extra for other room types, because they will definitely give you a worse room type. This is my experience. The hotel is very close to the central area, within a few minutes' walk. There is a Lion Hotel restaurant near the hotel that is very popular and basically full, and the boss lady serves in person. I ordered pork knuckle and grilled ribs, which tasted great. The hotel's breakfast is very good and the service is also thoughtful. Baden-Baden is a relaxing and romantic resort city.

Amazing stay. We are regular travellers and by far the best hotel we have stayed in. 2nd floor had all the brand new rooms so that was lovely. Shame the swimming pool etc wasn’t open but all part of improving the hotel. Only thing I would say is the best are 2 singles out together which is fine but one big duvet would be better then X2 small ones.

Good location, very beautiful hotel, in front of the woods, trails, small rivers, next to the Christmas market; traditional buildings, halls, corridors, lounges, dining rooms exude cultural atmosphere; old-fashioned rooms are very kind and comfortable, the balcony view is also very good, very quiet at night. The hotel is very beautiful and the decoration is classical and elegant. The location is quiet and you can definitely enjoy a comfortable night. However, our room was on the 3rd floor of the opposite building. There was no elevator. There was a waiter in Haocai to carry our luggage to the room. The room layout is retro and meticulous, and there is a jacuzzi in the bathroom; It is best to have air conditioning. It is very convenient to reach attractions, restaurants and shops within ten minutes walk. The breakfast is plentiful and impressive whether you enjoy breakfast in the restaurant or in the outdoor garden. The hotel staff is polite and helpful, sincerely recommend!

Like a house in a fairy tale, everything is retro, there are hotels of the age and history, the elevator is small, and the two big ones are very crowded. There are not many breakfast options, but the croissant here is the best I have ever eaten. It is crispy and tender, not oily or greasy, super invincible and delicious. Very chaotic, staff don't know the correct procedures among themselves... despite booking for three days, I was asked to vacate the room several times. They kept making excuses and then I was asked to leave the room again. Asked for my room number 4 times at breakfast by different staff. Bathroom cleanliness satisfactory. Garage reservation a disaster... entry card works... have to pay €25.00 for reserved parking space, which is ultimately occupied and despite having an entry card you have to ring the bell so that the barrier opens. All in all, the stay was poor... finally, in the evening, I had to listen to complaints from several guests at the bar, which ultimately confirmed my experience!

The hotel staff are polite, friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and hygienic, and there is no peculiar smell. The location is excellent, just two minutes walk to Caracalla-therme. The breakfast buffet is rich and delicious. The whole hotel has a sense of history, and I will definitely stay again next time I have the opportunity.
