Hotel de Klein Prinz is a charming hotel that features the story character Little Prince with numerous paintings and figures adorning the premises. The rooms are nice and the bathrooms are clean, although the shower cubicle can be a bit small and tucked away in a corner. One downside is that there is no complimentary water provided. The breakfast is enjoyable, with fresh orange juice and delicious smoked salmon. The hotel's location is convenient, within walking distance to spas and the shopping district. Additionally, having a supermarket and a bus stop to the train station just opposite the hotel is a major advantage for guests.

As per the concept, the Little Prince is in every room and there are many skylights! If you are a fan of The Little Prince, this is a must-see. However, the building itself is an old European house.

We feel so lucky to have stayed at Der Kleine Prinz. We intended to only stay for 1 night, but our journey to the next stop in our vacation was halted when we were robbed at the Friedrichsbad bath. Someone broke into our locked locker and stole our bag which, among other important items, contained our rental car keys (which meant our passport and luggage were locked in the car). Being in a foreign country and not knowing the language, we returned to Der Kleine Prinz where every member of the staff was extremely helpful. While navigating unexpectedly difficult communication with the rental car company, a kind gentleman overheard our conversation and immediately offered to help. After hours of unanswered phone calls and wrong numbers, this man, who spoke both our language and the native language, is the only reason we were able to connect with the right people to get new rental car keys sent to us (apparently Hertz doesn’t keep a second set of keys at the rental location—they have to be mailed through a third party). Initially unbeknownst to us, this gentleman ended up being the owner of Der Kleine Prinz, Mr. Andreas Rademacher. Andreas was so selfless, and his attitude toward making sure hotel guests have the best experience clearly carried over into his staff. For example, our professional waiter, Jason, was so thoughtful to offer me a blanket while sitting outside for dinner in the chilly evening (all of my extra clothes were locked in the car). Though I don’t know all of their names, every staff member shared this unmatched customer service. We are so thankful.

Only wifi in part of the building Staff snobbish and rude Only some items was refilled at breakfast The restaurant is expensive and Staff slow and rude Not good for handicapp people as lots of stairs where ever you need to go and you need to clime them to get to the elevator Will not recommend this hotel to anyone

This is a quaint looking hotel with some lovely rooms. Each is individually decorated. It is situated less than 10 minutes from bars and restaurants and about 15 mins walk to the spas. Breakfast is included in the price. It is, however, not a great selection... But, at the same time, you're not going to go hungry! Also included in the price is some tea and cake in the afternoon. Parking is in the sister hotel, la belle epoque a couple of minutes away. Be warned, it's €24 per day!

We enjoyed our stay here over Easter. The hotel is pretty central and there is parking about 50 meters from the hotel in a multistorey car park (a bit cheaper than the hotels parking). The room was nice and old fashioned but everything worked. The church bells chime every 15 mins but stop at night, then fire up about 6am. You probably won't hear them in some rooms and with the window shut you won't notice them. Breakfast was very good, typical European fare of cold meats etc but you can get eggs made if you want. Would happily stay here again.

Fantastic hotel in a great location. Stayed mid Jan. The customer service was great from all team members. Breakfast options were ok, as expected. Beer was excellent. Nice courtyard with seating area. Hotel was clean and well maintained. Very closely located to the shops, bars & restaurants.
