An experience I definitely don’t want to remember of repeat. Everything in this place remembers few generations back and it is not a compliment. Smell of old cellar and cigarets, rooms and facilities aged and used, lots of noise late in the night on Monday from some place / bar downstairs in the neighbor building, I didn’t see the place while walking around but I sure heard it later while trying to fall asleep. Once they stopped a Dripping toilet keeps you up at night. It should be called a shelter or a motel, because it is not a hotel.

A historical palace, in which one can experience the past of Aviles. Rooms are well equipped, including all the facilities that one can need. Though, the best aspect consists in the people: more than friendly, more than respectful and helpful, more than just assisting you! In case of need, they were always taking care of the problem. And, when you do not need anything, they were still there to make you aware that you were not a guest, but a part of the family. That's the way I felt to be treated. Definitely, the best part of my trip. The gratitude that I have would never be enough...!

While the hotel isn't historical it does have a great story. They really go all in on Don Pedro (a conquistador and not really a great human being) and they appear to have a good sense of humor. The room was very well done and except for the screaming seagulls at all hours of the morning it was a very pleasant stay.

We only stayed a night as it was the beginning of our Camino De Santiago. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Clean, quiet and great location. We arrived late and they stayed to welcome us. Lovely people

I feel a bit conflicted about this hotel and want to give it a fair review. I arrived fresh from a 25 km walk on the Camino de Santiago in pouring rain and was absolutely drenched and pretty tired as well. Although I was the only person checking in when I arrived it took at least 15 minutes. The staff person wanted to be very helpful but unfortunately she was too helpful and to too many people. Firstly, she had a long telephone conversation with a guest about what food they could get, then she entered my details and insisted on showing me two rooms to choose from, then she had a conversation with a new arrival who was asking about a room and then she wanted to show me another room even though I had said that I was happy with what she had already shown me. It was painful as I stood there in an ever expanding puddle wanting nothing more than to get into a room and dry off. The hotel is much nicer inside than it appears from the outside. My room looked new or at least newly renovated with stone external walls and wooden floor and ceiling. Natural light came from a skylight. A window would have been nicer but I was happy to accept the room to get on with drying off. It had a double bed, small desk and chair and a closet. It was a bit cramped but fine for one night. The bathroom was small but had a surprisingly spacious shower. The wifi signal was very good. I had to ask for the control for the a/c unit which was kept at the reception desk but once that was in hand the unit worked well. There were only 2 rooms on my section of the top floor and I think that the other was empty. It was very quiet even though I was at the front of the building. The bar opened at 7.30am which is perfect for peregrinos who like to be up and out early to get on with the day’s walk. The Don Pedro is a nice hotel and was fine for a one night stay once I actually got checked in. I would return but perhaps not if I was eager to get to my room in a hurry.

Rebeca, única, distinguible, en su forma de expres**** para con los huéspedes. Es una persona encantadora y resolutiva. Es de esas personas que hacen que quieras volver. El hotel, muy simple, de arquitectura antigua, elegante y modesta. Totalmente recomendable.
