Small room, which probably depended on the type of room booked, but was not so drastic in the description, where practically the only thing taking up the room was the bed, and you could just about get through between the bed and the wall at the foot. No cups or glasses in the room, the tap water (no water bottle for guests) had to be drunk straight from the hand at the sink. Bathroom was clean and completely fine, but the wobbly sliding door to the room was unappetizingly old and stained. The elevator was frighteningly old and you were afraid of getting stuck. The breakfast room was very nice, but when 2 more guests arrived after us, new coffee had to be made for them because the pot was empty, which took a while, and the few slices of salami and cheese had almost been eaten by us - the poor guests after us. The evening before we wanted to have dinner in this atmospheric room, but that wasn't possible, we had to go to another restaurant room (also OK, but not quite as nice), but the next evening we saw guests eating there by the large, beautiful fireplace in the "breakfast room". I think that was bad service without any explanation. the evening before.
Because of the elevator and the lack of comfort in the room, I would book somewhere else on my next trip, despite the location right next to the Pope's Palace.
