Booked a 2 night stay with dinner in the restaurant on the first night. Arrived to be informed restaurant days had changed and wasn't due to be open on either night of our stay. Within the hour the reception staff confirmed they would honour our dinner booking. Staff and restaurant to ourselves, exceptional food and wine. Fabulous experience. Palace room was delightful, thoughtful touches and super comfy furnishings. Spa is great and limited hotel rooms gives whole place a family feel. One negative is aircon not efficient so room never below 23C. Would highly recommend and already planning to return.

As for hospitality, nothing compares. From service, to hospitality, to attention to every detail. It’s unbelievable. In the morning, you are faced with unbelievable breakfast choices. And in the evening, you are greeted by a beautiful Petite Four, a sophisticated comment, and a beautifully turned down bed. It’s ready for you to have a relaxing night sleep

This is a fabulous hotel. Part of the collection of small luxury hotels, it lived up to its name. Our room was clean, quiet, with a historic decor yet modern amenities. Central location to the historic sights in Aveiro, and a short drive/Uber/taxi to the seaside towns of Costa Nova and Barra. All aspects of our stay were top notch, including the room, reception, concierge service, housekeeping, restaurant, pool, and spa. Complimentary mini bar and bottle of Reserve Port on arrival! We felt pampered and well rested at the end of our stay. I feel the room price was fair for the quality of services that one receives at this hotel.

Absolute perfection! Everything from the rooms, the food, the location, and especially the staff are excellent. We have stayed here for two night with our teenage children and can confirm that this is definitely a 5 star hotel. The pool and spa area are exceptional. We very much look forward to returning to this wonderful hotel and will highly recommend others to stay and enjoy this luxury hotel. Many thanks to all the staff who made our stay so special (especially Kelly in the restaurant).

Most amazing hotel in the middle of Aveiro. Every detail is perfect, and the staff are all just amazing. Don't think I have ever had such a pleasent stay at a hotel. If you are in Portugal and want to spoil yourself and your wife, then you should go to MS Collection.

Had we known that this hotel was so beautiful, stylish and comfortable, we would have stayed longer in Aveiro! It is very centrally located and well appointed with beautiful touches. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast which had something for all tastes. Highly recommend this gem of a hotel.

Amazing SPA. Booked a water circuit for a mother and three daughters, the experience was just amazing, from the girls at the reception to the location and experience. We created great memories and enjoyed the pool, the jacuzzi, the sensorial shower and the sauna. We can't thank everyone enough for helping us enjoy a couple of hours of relaxation in family.

Luxury hotel that was attentive to every detail. Property is beautiful and rooms are well decorated. Food at breakfast was outstanding. Variety was ample and options offered something for everyone. Service throughout our stay was warm, friendly and efficient.

Newly opened, this renovated palace is an astonishing property. God knows how much money it took to restore every inch of the hotel to perfection. Rooms are large, bright and with large marble bathrooms. There are indoor and outdoor pools, a wonderful spa, steam room, sensory shower and sauna. The indoor pool is flanked by a wonderfully comfortable set of day beds. The restaurant, Prosa, overseen by two star Michelin chef, Rui Paula is truly spectacular. The staff, though young is earnest, professional and cannot do enough to help visitors (whenever you appear the staff member will rise to his/her feet and greet you. Prices for the room and the restaurant are easy on the wallet, especially for a hotel that can compete with any five star hotel on the planet.
