Let's first state that the "lodge" is just a motel and is very basic and a little old. However on a price for value it's absolutely okay for a short stay. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. Very basic amenities but the small kitchenette was fine and everything worked. Good range of Sky TV channels and the location is close to a couple of cafes. Check-in staff were very friendly.

Really enjoyed the motel opening up the adjoining doors so our extended family didn’t have to climb stairs to visit each other. The little ones loved it

Fresh, clean spacious and super roomy. Excellent bathroom, good quality furnishings. On a busy road, but relatively quiet. Plenty of nearby amenities. Supermarket a wee walk down the road as are a few eateries. Not to hard to find when exiting the motorway.

Clean, large room with comfortable beds. TV didnt work, but that was ok. Convenient location, with only a short drive to the Auckland Showgrounds. Friendly staff. A little road noise, but nothing to complain about. Plus there was a friendly cat that said hello!
