The room itself is very old, the windows were also poorly cleaned. However the rest of the hotel is nice and updated including the spa and pool area. Overall it was a decent stay, however I would only go back for the spa and not stay there again.

My first choice every time I go to Auckland, because I like the surrounding environment so much. It’s a pity that the hotel has not updated its equipment in the three years since the epidemic, and there is a lack of staff!

The first time I stayed, but it should be the last time. After all, this is the worst five-star hotel I have ever stayed in. The cleanliness will not clean the trash can, the washbasin has water stains, and the interface of the shower head is leaking. , I can't find the person on duty in the lobby to help with parking at night. There is such a fantastic team of staff that make this Hotel very special ! We stayed Sunday to Friday for 6 weeks in a row while I was having Radiation at a nearby Hospital and the staff were incredibly compassionate, kind and genuinely very helpful which really made the experience so much better for my wife and I ! It was a privilege to be so well looked after by such amazing people ! Lucas and the rest of the front reception were always amazing and we really appreciated so much they made sure we had a nice quiet room with a great view which really helped with going the Radiation and enabled me to rest up heaps. Maise would always stop and have a chat with us whenever we ran into her, she is such a lovely lady. Breakfast was awesome, Jimmy , Sharon and Kayla always remembered what we wanted to order and always appeared to be happy to see us. Housekeeping also always did a great job and were very friendly when you ran into them into them. Then there was the Club level largely run by Conner , he was fantastic and always had everything ready often before time and in the evenings knew I was just drinking water but always kept a glass eye on my wife’s French Red knowing she liked 2 glasses before we left the lounge. I will attach a few photos of the amazing food too ! Maddie too was great on Sunday & Monday nights when she worked. Being an Accor Diamond member we have stated at a lot of Accor Hotels and this Hotel will always be very special to us though my 6 week journey of Radiation, thank you everyone so much !!

night 1, called room service and no answer. then called concierge and took over 10 rings to answer - said she'd transfer me to room service - transferred into a black hole. had to call a second time. night 2, called both and no answer. finally got concierge and again, 'transferred' me into a black hole. I had to call back 3 times (!) before she said ' ok, i'll ask them to call you bacl. Wow - how hard is it to order room service. No, food was not great but it's room service so, that's expected. Basic Business Hotel - nothing more.

Very good staff. Room perfect. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom very good. Breakfast superb great omelets. Very close to Auckland CBD and restaurants in the Viaduct. Will be back.

Had a great stay here, everything was nice and clean and the location perfect for entering the city! Also, a great view of the city from our room. Cant wait to come back and visit! There are also close restaurants that makes it very easy to pop close by for a meal.

Great location being close to restaurants, bars and the central city. Staff were excellent, both being friendly and most helpful. Breakfast was of a very high standard. The room was spacious and of a high quality. A great Hotel and recommended.

Location was great with restaurants, bars and the central city very close by. The professionalism of the staff was right up there. Friendly and very helpful. Room was spacious and quiet. Breakfast was very good, and we enjoyed the stay. We would recommend this Hotel.

Stayed in a luxury atrium room with my hubby, two year old and 10 week old. It was a good sized room for us. We did request a portacot and rollaway bed, which was set up for us upon arrival. I appreciate that it had a little kitchenette area with a sink and jug etc which is useful for doing bottles for the little ones. All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating- especially to our kids, which we really appreciated. We took our toddler swimming in the pool three times which he loved- it wasn’t super cold but he actually managed the spa better which wasn’t too hot. Walking distance to plenty for keeping kids occupied! We had the buffet breakfast which had plenty of selection and unlimited barista made coffees - a nice touch. Would recommend for families and would be back for sure!

Well, I was surprised of reading recent bad reviews on this hotel since once I arrived I was positively impressed by the location, the cleaningness, the quality of the breakfast! Absolutely a great spot to be at while in Auckland. Very close to the port and the adjacent restaurants and bars. Very quite area and absolutely amazing breakfast!

Last time my wife and I were at the hotel was before the weather event in Auckland. We spent a week at the hotel on this occasion. The hotel was spotless loved the refurbished ground floor. It was great going back to the hotel we were welcomed very warmly by all staff. Our room was as we remembered with a very comfortable bed and pillows. Great size bathroom with bath and shower. Breakfast was very good with excellent coffee. The new bar on the ground floor is a standout. There are a number of the staff we would like to thank. If we miss anyone it's not because they weren't good, we'll put it down to not remembering their names. Thanks very much to Reto (GM) who goes out of his way to welcome all Accor Members. Others were Gerardo and Qui in the bar. Great drinks and cocktails. Kathy and the team in Lamaree for breakfast, Angela and Luke in the front office for their very warm welcome and last Charles and his team at the Concierge. All staff very well done. My wife and I recommend this hotel very highly. We've already booked our next trip to the Sofitel and look forward to travelling across the ditch to NZ.

Beautiful room with daily service. (Take care that you dont get a room on the same side as the bus station. ) Great location, an easy walk to the Viaduct and nightspots. The concierge Careem was amazing, located a lost bag and had it seamlessly delivered to us!

Very disappointing- rooms dated, restaurant over priced and very average food. French theme non-existent and try hard. Booked disability room and ended up with room that could not accommodate wheelchair. Spa facility very average. Definitely not 5 star - maybe 2
