Art Hotel Riposo

Charming hotel, stunning terrasse, pool, and view, well decorated, good food and great service. This is an old place and the rooms are all different; we were in on one of the studios with a small terrasse overlooking the hotel car park - when based on the website we expected a garden (See photo). But the owner was very understanding and the hotel is so amazing with many areas to sit and relax outside and inside - and well located - that it’s is definitely worth 5/5 overall. The Saturday night jazz concert was awesome as was the “standard” dinner on the terrasse on another night. A pricey place but worth it. Very practical for hikes and bike rides in the Val Maggia and Verzasca . We would like to come back!

Art Hotel Riposo is my favorite hotel. I have been here with my family twice and I will definitely come back. It is quiet and the staff is very nice and helpful. And the hotel has a unique charm.

Our experience was excellent and exceed our expectations! We enjoyed our 3 overnights in this charming hotel where we could rest, relax and enjoyed the amazing food: breakfast and dinner with Jazz Live Concert. I have to say the hotel has every small details that makes it unique but the service from the staff elevates the experience to another level. We will be happy to come back! Thanks

Tucked away in an alley just steps from the promenade of Ascona the Art Hotel Riposo is a wonderful property with charm, exquisite decor and a great staff. Every aspect has been thought through from the rooms, restaurant and lounge, and lends itself to a very special stay in a beautiful town. Thanks to the entire staff for a great 3 days.

This hotel is absolutely amazing. The rooftop is stunning for drinks and views, or a peaceful sunbathe with views of the alps, palm trees and the lake all within viewpoint. Our room was Devine although it sounds like by reviews there aren’t bad rooms. We had two bathrooms which was by no means necessary, but quite nice to have the luxury of having my own room for makeup and getting ready. They also have jazz nights twice a week (I think Friday and Saturday) and that was sooooo magical. Even if you don’t attend the dinner just leaving your door open and letting the music come in. I don’t remember the food situation. We didn’t think they had food but then one day my fiancée ordered the most beautiful “pre lunch” I’ve ever seen! We extended our stay a night. And then extended another night. It is 2-3 blocks from the water- so convenient. This place is so magical you won’t want to leave.

The aesthetics of the hotel are fantastic - a visual pleasure at every turn. Staff were lovely, breakfast was huge and delicious, and it was super conveniently located. We didn’t have a car but got around fine by bus, walking, boat and taxi. Definitely want to go back to this delightful town and hotel.
